Inside the Stats: Position Players from the NC Procase

Brandon Hall
North Carolina Director of Scouting

The first North Carolina PBR Procase featured twenty of the top players from North Carolina.  The purpose of the event is to give pro scouts an early look at some of the high school players they will be working to see this spring.

Nine players worked out offensively, with seven working at a defensive position.  Batting practice was taken in a spacious 90’x90’ cage with a raised roof, allowing the scouts on hand to watch the ball fly.  In a word, BP was loud.  Each player used wood throughout the event, taking multiple rounds live, as well as in the cage areas.

Defensively players worked out at their primary position, with a couple showing enough versatility to showcase in multiple spots.  Athleticism and arm strength rules the day with several players putting on a show.

Below is a look at the numbers from the day in several different statistical categories.
