Quinton Hill, Berkeley High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/RHP OF who takes aggressive swings in the box and can find the barrel. Pairs with great speed in the OF; demonstrates range to stick in CF.
Body: 6-2, 183-pounds. Pairs all-around athleticism with quick twitch muscles. Has room to add strength in upper half.
Delivery: Begins with hands resting at neck level before dropping to sync with the front leg. Utilizes a high leg kick with a noticeable inward hip turn, transitioning into a drop/drive movement while working heavily down the mound with a very lengthy stride. Shows good feel for blocking with the plant leg and maintains direction well. Delivery is controlled overall, with tempo that accelerates after the leg kick.
Arm Action: RH. Works from a 3/4 slot with a full arm path that extends out of the glove, initially working behind the back before creating solid depth in line with the body. Shows a controlled arm action with present arm speed and a consistent release point. Finishes with some recoil upon release.
FB: T83, 81-83 mph. FB shows two-seam profile, with potential to exhibit life up in the zone due to extension length. Potential to add velo with frame. T1964, 1835 average rpm.
SL: 68-71 mph. Tight, late breaking SL. Has gyro-like profile that can play off the FB up. Works both in zone for called strikes and has potential as chase pitch down. T1740, 1705 average rpm.
CH: 73-73 mph. Developing third option that kills spin. Has potential to fade late, but needs polish. T1185, 1085 average rpm.

Hit: RHH. Sets up wide and upright with weight shifted towards back leg. Hands rest above the shoulder at ear level. Initiates the load with a toe-tap trigger, shifting weight deeper into the back knee as the hands drift back and the barrel tilts slightly vertical. Uses a small stride forward, landing slightly closed while maintaining balance. Keeps hands tight to the body, working quickly through the zone. Short, level path allows him to frequently find the barrel and promotes line drives. Displays up the middle approach with consistent gap-to-gap hard contact.
Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 88.6 mph. 339' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-85 mph. Lengthy, full arm path with aggressive action. Shows accuracy when keeping throws down and can air it out when needed. Arm strength projects to improve as frame continues to fill out.
Defense: Shows efficient routes and good angles, with solid reads on balls in the air. Consistently works into strong positioning behind the ball, with polished footwork that transitions well toward the target. Displays the range and athleticism to handle all three OF spots.

Quinton is another guy in the 27' class that I'm a fan off, whether he's on the mound or in the OF. I think his biggest assets are his raw athleticism and his swing. Hes got a violent hack that looks a little unorthodox, but it plays and that ball comes off his bat HOT. Highest EV was 97.4 MPH with an avg EV of 90.5, showing the ability to find barrels. Lots of hard hit groundballs and line drives, which was a majority of his BP rounds. (54.5 % GB & 36.4% LD). Max hand speed was 22.6 MPH, avg hand speed was 21.6 MPH, Max bat speed 72.6 MPH and an avg bat speed of 69.8 MPH. Quinton didn't pitch this event but overall in his class he's one of the better two ways.
