The impressive track record of high-level production at the plate for Collier continues to grow. With a physical 5-foot-11, 190-pound frame, Collier commands a real presence in the box with strong pitch recognition and great zone coverage. Maintains excellent balance and ability to stay in his back hip before showing present above-average bat speed and accuracy in the barrel. What Collier does extremely well is show willingness to work backside and spoil quality pitching on the outer half consistently. Finished the week on an absolute tear at the plate going 8-for-13 with a home run and seemingly 90+ exit velocities with every batted ball. Collier also would make a big bracket day appearance on the mound, running it up to 81 and showing a put-away changeup with advanced feel that kept hitters off-balance over 5.1 IP. After a strong freshman campaign with Locust Grove, I’m bullish on what Collier can do with an even bigger role this upcoming spring.

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Interesting start on the mound during the semi-final game on Monday morning as the lefty showcased a two pitch mix that filled up the zone and generated weak contact. FB ran up to 81 with an arm-side run, showed good command that collected whiffs. CH was his go-to pitch at 72-70 with arm-side fade with slight drop-off that showed killed spin at 1400 rpm. The hit tool was present as well. Simple load that gets the front foot down on a top-half dominant swing. Strong internal rotation gets the hands out-front with quickness to smoke balls off the barrel for loud exits. Showed low 90 EV’s throughout the weekend.

The 2023 Junior Future Gamers has seemingly fallen right into a varsity line up at Locust Grove. The maturity and confidence stands out, and really made an impact this weekend at the plate. He has added a slight leg lift since we last saw him at Preseason All-State and seems to have really helped his timing against varsity arms. The frame continues to develop, and we could see him be a real power threat in the years to come. He battled to a 3-2 count, and drove a ball the other way, showing the ability to adjust and drive the pitch where it’s thrown. Collier will continue to climb the ranks in the ‘27 class, especially after a year full of varsity experience this season.
