FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Preseason All-State Upperclass Showcase travels to IVSA where this invite-only event that features the top prospects from the 2026 and 2027 grad classes. Every year, the Preseason All-State Showcase highlights the "Who’s Who" of the Georgia baseball landscape. This event is limited and exclusive to the top prospects in Georgia and serves as a springboard as you enter the high school season. Throughout the week we will be pumping out the content from this event.

Today, we take a closer look at some of the top infield performers from the event on Sunday. ⤵️


Preseason All-State Upperclass Quick Hits- Infielders 

Boogie Lowit, 1B/C, 2027, Pickens
The uncommitted junior has added noticeable physicality at the dish this off-season and it showed up in a loud way during a potent round of BP. Stands a physical 5-foot-10, 206-pounds with big-time strength throughout. Utilizes a leg-kick load to sync up and stay balanced through the zone. Shows fluid hands in-zone with adjustability in the path and accuracy in the barrel to match as he produced a max exit velocity of 96.9. Lowit is armed with an immense feel to hit already and is starting to tap into his raw power, which bodes well for a massive Spring with the Dragons that seems to be looming.

Jon Walker Brown, 1B, 2027, Lassiter
Uncommitted. It was a breakout year at the plate in 2025 and the Lassiter first-baseman kicked off 2026 with a loud showing Sunday. Obvious physicality in the box at 6-foot-2, 211-pounds with advanced barrel feel. Utilizes a toe-tap load to stay balanced with leverage through the zone and generates easy carry to the pull-side (Max Distance 386ft.). Posted an average (91.4) and a Max (99.0) exit velocities. Will be a must know name with Lassiter this upcoming season as he brings a high-level hit/power combo to the middle-of-the-order.

Pete Kostopoulos, MIF, 2027, St. Pius X
Uncommitted. It was a consistent line-drives round for Kostopoulos as he worked up the middle-of-the-field. Broad-shouldered at 6-foot-0, 175-pounds with strength throughout. Simple actions with a quick trigger and stays compact through the zone with excellent feel for the barrel in an on-plane path. Produced a Max 94.7 exit velocity. The junior will look to carry a major role in the middle infield for the Golden Lions this season.

Beckett Brown, 3B, 2027, Gainesville
Uncommitted. The Gainesville third baseman has added noticeable strength to the frame and his hitting metrics increased across the board. Stands a broad-shouldered 5-foot-8, 168-pounds. Brown stays extremely simple at the plate with good balance and works from a compact, direct path with present barrel feel. Recorded an average (88.7) and a max (95.3) exit velocities which were up from last Summer. Brown will be a big piece for the Red Elephants once again this Spring.

Jared Givins, 1B/3B, 2026, Greater Atlanta Christian
The uncommitted senior boasts an abundance of strength in the physical 6-foot-0, 211-pound frame and put together a strong round of BP. Stays well-connected with good separation and generates strength from the ground-up. Works from a linear path with present hand speed and impact in the barrel (Max EV: 99.9) . Givins will look to lead the way for GAC in the heart of the order with all-fields juice and can strengthen a recruiting class at the next level.

Caden Lenzi, 1B/LHP, 2026, Lassiter
Uncommitted. The barrel was extremely potent for the senior in what was one of the loudest rounds of the weekend. Lenzi is armed with big-time strength in the 6-foot-4, 198-pound frame and innate barrel feel. Exudes excellent body control and stays well-balanced with immense ability to rotate ( Max Rot. acceleration 39.1), and significant hand (Max 29.4) and bat (Max 78.4) speed through the zone. Finished the day with an average (97.5) and max (104.2) exit velocities along with a 378ft. Max Distance, as well as a 91% hard-hit percentage. Also posted an 89 MPH INF velo. On the mound, Lenzi provides a deceptive look and hides the ball well with feel for the 3-pitch mix. Fastball sat 80-83 paired with a slider at 68-71 and a changeup at 71-74. Lenzi is armed with present loud two-way tools and will be a good addition to any recruiting class at multiple levels.

Collin Thomas, MIF, 2027, Ga Premier
Auburn Commit. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound switch-hitting MIF Collin Thomas showed a polished, high-level look on both sides of the ball. Sets up slightly open with a wide base, hands high and tight above the ears before working into a smooth hand coil and stride load. Active, quick hands stay inside the baseball, allowing him to consistently leverage the barrel while using the entire body through the swing. Produced a Max EV of 98 and showed comfort and rhythm from both sides of the plate. Defensively, Thomas displayed dart-like throws from an over-the-top slot with a snappy, efficient arm action. Simple, clean mechanics with minimal wasted movement highlight a fundamentally sound, high-IQ middle infielder with impact potential.

Cameron Layfield, MIF, 2026, Sandy Creek
Coastal Alabama Commit. The athletic, 5-foot-9, 166 pound senior from Sandy Creek showcased his switch-hitting capability over the weekend. From both sides of the plate he displayed a fluid stroke with quick, direct hands and above-average feel for the barrel. For his BP round, Layfield averaged an 88.3 exit velocity, maxing out at 97 with a distance of 353ft. His athleticism was shown throughout the day displaying his range and quick glove on the field. Arm strength was shown topping out at 87mph with quick transfers. The Coastal Alabama commit looks ready for the spring and should have a great senior season at Sandy Creek.

Nate Curcio, SS/RHP, 2027, Etowah
Jacksonville State Commit. The impressive 6-foot-0, 165 pound junior Nate Curcio from Etowah had a strong overall performance at All-States. Putting up some electric metrics on the day, his present bat speed and ability to create pull-side resulted in a solid BP round hitting 100.0 exit velocity. His athletic build continues to grow and mature. Curcio ran the 30-yard in 3.78 seconds and showed off his glove capabilities while displaying arm strength firing across the field at 90mph. The Jacksonville State commit is primed for a big junior season for the Etowah Eagles.

Liam Collier, 1B/LHP, 2027, Locust Grove
Uncommitted. The explosive 6-foot-0, 207 pound Liam Collier from Locust Grove put on a loud hitting display on Sunday. Generating strength from the ground-up and present bat speed through the zone he produced a strong round at the plate. Averaged 91.8 exit velocity and had a max exit velocity of 101.2 with a distance of 375ft. One of the top left-handed bats still uncommitted in the state of Georgia. The upside is high and projects to have another great spring for Locust Grove. Collier’s potential for two-way play was shown on the mound. For his pitching session; his fastball ranged from 84-87, topping out at 88. Has added 3mph to his fastball since November 2025. The lefty looks strong and should be an exciting spring for Locust Grove.

Ethan Herrington, RHP/1B, 2027, Cambridge
Uncommitted. The physical 6-foot-2, 200 pound Ethan Herrington from Cambridge put together a strong performance at the plate and on the mound over the weekend at All-States. With present bat speed, quick hands getting to the inside of the baseball, he drives the ball on a line. Averaged an 88.8 exit velocity and maxed out at 93. With plenty of projection remaining, his offensive outlook looks impressive. On the mound, Herrington showcased his physical frame by displaying a deep mix of pitches highlighting his sinker 85-86, topping out at 87 with good movement. He commands his secondary pitches well and good speed differentials should allow him to produce outs for the Cambridge Bears.

Bryce Fontenot, RHP/1B, 2027, Cherokee Bluff
Uncommitted. The powerful 6-foot-1, 237 pound Bryce Fontenot displayed his two-way play capabilities lighting up the metrics. Produced elite bat speed and exit velocities, consistently finding the barrel with his smooth swing. Present lower-half with strong arms highlights his round averaging 101.0 exit velocity and topping out at 108.0 with a max distance of 381ft. Fontenot’s pitching session displayed his electric heavy sink fastball running from 89-91, hitting 92. His mix of pitches including sinker, curve, and slider show great projection. Sinker ran 2400+ between 90-92. Fontenot’s offensive profile, pitching ability, and present strength project as a true impact with potential two-way upside. Looking forward to seeing Fontenot dominate the spring for Cherokee Bluff.

Connor Ymbras, SS/RHP, 2027, Blessed Trinity
Uncommitted. 2027 RHP/INF Connor Ymbras (Blessed Trinity) is an elite athlete with high-level tools on both sides of the ball. Offensively, produced a 98 mph max EV with a violent, level swing through the zone. Sets up in an even stance with narrow feet, hands low and extended in front of the shoulder, loading slightly with a toe tap or a small stride for a smooth, repeatable motion that creates consistent hard contact and average. Defensively, a natural mover with smooth feet, efficient transfers, and high-level athletic actions across the infield. On the mound, touched 90 mph, showing advanced mechanics and feel for the zone. A sturdy player with high upside, Ymbras combines athleticism, polished mechanics, and projectable tools to impact multiple facets of the game.

Hudson Chadwick, 1B/OF, 2027, Calhoun
Uncommitted, 2027 1B/OF Hudson Chadwick from Calhoun, the 6-foot-1, 212 pound first basement showed impressive tools Sunday. His athletic profile showed present strength and great game sense. Chadwick ran a sub-4.00 30-yard dash, impressive for a player of his size, showing explosive movement. At the plate, sets up even-footed and wide with hands snug behind the ear, loading into a toe tap with a slight hand coil. Generates quick, violent swings while staying through the zone and using the entire body. Produced an average EV of 93.2 and max of 100, with 55% of batted balls hitting the sweet spot off the machine, showing present and future power potential. Defensively, Chadwick boasts a strong glove at first base and moves well across the diamond with quick, accurate throws. A polished, high-upside two-way player, he presents a very good look for Calhoun this spring.
