Uncommitted. Stands in at a strong 6-foot, 179-pound and still has room for added strength. Gets set in the box with an athletic square setup, knees bent, slight stride into a direct-to-ball, slightly uphill swing. Went 1-for-3 against Collinsville while driving in a run, lining a ball into left in the bottom of the third inning. Also a catcher, Lindemann looks advanced behind the plate and is certainly one to keep an eye on going forward.
Uncommitted. Athletic 6-foot, 179-pound frame with room to add strength. Started behind the plate and hit out of the five-hole. Lindemann showed upside Tuesday night. The right-handed hitter operates from an upright top half with a bend in his knees with a high leg lift. Strong hands with an uphill bat path. Impressed defensively during I/O and during the game. Showed off a strong arm pre-game, which he was able to use to catch a runner stealing at third. Smooth receiver behind the plate with quality blocking abilities. Interesting 2027 catcher to keep an eye on.

A member of Team Illinois at the PBR Junior Future Games last summer, C/3B/RHP Brody Lindemann (Belleville East, 2027) continues to be a follow name in the state’s freshman class. Built at a strong 5-foot-11, 176-pounds with room for more, Lindemann worked line drives to the pull-side from a level swing that found the barrel often and should add more impact as he continues to physically develop. On the mound, Lindemann pitched in the low-80s, touching 83 mph, and he spun a 68-70 mph slider at 2400+ RPM on average.
