Uncommitted. Showed well as he picked up three hits and four runs batted in. 6-foot-2, 175-pound athletic, high-waisted frame with room to add strength. The right-handed hitter utilizes a compact swing from a wide stance with a short stride. Covers all parts of the plate with the ability to drive the ball to all parts of the field. Smith was able to show his bat-to-ball abilities as he was able to hit a double on a pitch on the outside corner. He also showed his pull-side power as drove a ball into left field for a double as well. Smooth operator up the middle with a strong arm.
INF Cole Smith (Metamora, 2026) looks to be yet another projectable junior to follow from the day. He has an athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame, sporting a high waist and wiry levers. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed a fluid, direct swing with some looseness in his hands, delivering his hardest hit ball at 92 mph.
