Body: 5-9, 165-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Crouched setup, short, quick stride. Direct bat path, twitchy, slightly uphill, all fields approach. 74.9 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 83.5 mph. 312’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 88 mph. OF - 91 mph. OF: Quick, athletic arm, 3/4 slot, downhill, accurate. INF: loose/quick action, 3/4 slot, twitchy mover.
Defense: OF: One-hand gather out front, works ball into hand, smooth, confident. INF: Soft two-hand gather out front, athletic actions with fluid footwork through the ball.
Run: 6.89 runner in the 60.
Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 72 in the state. Trim, athletic build with some strength and round shoulders, 6-foot, 176-pounds. Finished the day 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Simple setup with a short and repeatable load, hands work short to the ball with extension through the zone, quick from launch, turned on an inside fastball down the line for his double. Twitchy, athletic prospect still on the market.
Uncommitted. Ranked No. 60 in the state’s 2025 class. 6-foot, 176-pound frame with strength and athleticism throughout. Brief but quality look at him on the mound, threw 1 ⅓ innings in relief, struck out three, allowed one hit, and threw 75% strikes. Simple delivery with a compact and quick arm out front. Fastball sat 82-85 mph, and he mixed in a slider at 72 mph.
OF/INF Derrick Holmes (Brother Rice, 2025) put together arguably his top performance we have seen to-date at the event. Holmes, a high-follow uncommitted junior, impressed in all areas on the day starting with a polished, intentful round of BP. Holmes was on the barrel throughout, making loud contact to the big part of the diamond. Holmes averaged 86.6 mph off the bat, T93.1 and launched his furthest batted ball 343’. He also worked out on the infield and outfield, showing much improved arm strength, topping at 94 mph from the outfield while showing athletic actions and soft hands. A name to follow this spring and beyond.

Body: 6-0, 176-pounds. Strong, lean, athletic build.
Delivery: Simple, athletic delivery, short leg kick into balance point with some coil, tall/fall lower-half.
Arm Action: RH. Short quick arm action, over the top slot.
FB: T82, 80-82 mph. Plays with heavy arm-side run, flashes carry. T1826, 1789 average rpm.
CB: 67-70 mph. Showed feel, 11/5 shape. T1938, 1846 average rpm.
CH: 71-72 mph. Sink and fade to arm side. T1601, 1525 average rpm.
Positional Profile: OF/2B
Body: 6-0, 176-pounds. Strong, lean, athletic build.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, minimal load and short stride. Advanced bat speed, controlled intent, on time and on the barrel, hard, lifted contact back up the middle of the field. 63.6 mph bat speed with 19 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 86.6 mph. 343’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 90 mph. OF - 94 mph. Short arm circle, easy and accurate from a 3/4 release.
Defense: OF: Athletic, soft hands, plays with rhythm and feel. INF: Steady hands, plays with rhythm through the ball, plays low and through it with fluid footwork.
Run: 7.05 runner in the 60.
A couple of other infielders, worth noting from BP were Derrick Holmes (Brother Rice, 2025), Tyler Trapp (Lane Tech) and CJ Deckinga (Minooka).
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-11, 165-pounds. Wiry, athletic build.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open stance with knee lift trigger. Athletic swing, strong hands, slight uphill path through the zone and was on time and on the barrel.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 85.4 mph. 351’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 85 mph. Plays with carry and life, clean arm.
Defense: Sure-handed, clean transfer, athletic feet with some rhythm, athletic mover.
Run: 7.04 runner in the 60.
MIF Derrick Holmes (Brother Rice, 2025) continues to cement himself as one of the top 2025 infielders we have seen to-date in the state. Holmes has elite athletic actions on the infield and he makes everything look easy while playing comfortably on the move with body control. His clean, quick footwork and soft hands should keep him up the middle of the diamond for years to come. He throws from multiple arm slots with some life and carries through the target. Offensively he took a very polished round of batting practice with a direct path, balanced finish and littered the middle of the field with line drives. High-follow uncommitted prospect in the 2025 class.
INF Derrick Holmes (Brother Rice) was one of the top 2025s in attendance with upside to all parts of his game. The athletic middle infielder roams with pace and tempo on the dirt while his hands play soft and he is comfortable ranging to all sides. His hands and feet will allow Holmes to stick up the middle long term, especially as his foot speed continues to tick up in the coming years. Holmes finished the week 2-for-7 with a walk, taking a number of competitive at-bats while showing quick, athletic hands at the plate with much more thump off the barrel to tap into down the road. Holmes ran a 4.46 on an infield groundout on Day two. 2025 uncommitted high-follow infielder.

Body: 5-11, 165-pounds. Highly-athletic build for his age.
Hits: RHH. Balanced setup, fluid quiet load and leg-kick timing trigger. Twitchy hands, short and direct to the ball, hands stay on top and line-drive contact to all fields. Finished game play 2-for-7 with a walk.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 80.7 MPH. 288' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-84 mph.Arm plays accurate across the diamond from a 3/4 slot.
Defense: Feel for the position, confident, actiony middle infielder, plays from the ground up, athletic quick feet and soft hands. Plays with body control and rhythm on the move.
Run: 7.00 runner in the 60.

Hit: RHH. Relaxed setup, fluid load, toe-tap stride. Athletic, loose hands. Direct path to the baseball, some jump off the barrel, works gap-to-gap.
Power: 84.9 max exit velocity, averaged 75.4 mph. 285’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 86 mph. Short, quick arm action from a 3/4 slot. Above average arm strength.
Defense: Natural infield actions. Confident hands. Quick, active feet.
Run: 7.19 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: RHP
Delivery: Rhythmic, tall and fall delivery. Repeats. Works in line with target. Lands front toe closed.
Arm Action: RH. Abrupt draw out of the glove. Short arm action, 3/4 slot.
FB: T77.2, 75.5-77.0 mph. Mostly straight. Occasional running action to the arm side. T1749, 1680 average rpm.
SL: 60.9-61.9 mph. 10/4 shape. Able to locate for strikes. T1781, 1700 average rpm.
CH: 63.0-70.8 mph. Sinking action. T1692, 1473 average rpm.
Holmes also recorded a 7.19 time in the 60 and he’s grown a couple of inches since last summer’s Junior Future Games – now listed at 5-foot-10, 158 pounds. Holmes is a natural infield defender with advanced confidence in his hands with quick, active feet and a strong arm (86 mph). At the plate, it is a top-of-the-order profile with a direct path, athletic hands and sneaky jump off the barrel at times.
Positional Profile: INF/RHP
Body: 5-6, 140-pounds. Athletic build.
Delivery: Upright start from the center of the rubber; fluid, quick tempo to tall balance point, high knee lift/tuck. Works on line, level shoulders, steady pace and stride to square landing. Athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Loose, clean, quick arm action to a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T72, 71-71 mph. Straight four-seam type.
CB: 58-60 mph. Gradual action with depth and above-average movement, especially for his age. 11/5 shape with a feel to locate.
SL: 57-61 mph. Very similar movement profile to his curveball. Actions does tend be shorter.
CH: 61-64 mph. Straight change, at arm speed.
Hit: RHH. Quiet, balanced setup, smooth load, steady leg kick trigger, controlled finish through contact. Quick hands, level bat path, hands work inside the baseball, consistent line drive approach. Knack for the barrel, feel to all fields, repeats. An upside offensive profile.
Power: 76 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 70 mph. Short and loose arm action, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Advanced infield actions for age. Quick feet, athletic on the move, lower half consistently moves in a fluid rhythm. Soft hands field out front, quick hand transfer, clean to release, confidently plays through the baseball.
Run: 7.21 runner in the 60. Advanced, athletic gait.
