INF Tyler Trapp (Lane Tech) took one of the louder, more consistent rounds of BP on the day. Trapp swung with controlled aggression, was consistently on time and elevated hard contact to all fields throughout. Trapp averaged 93.9 mph off the bat throughout his round which easily led the event. His furthest batted ball traveled 339 feet and his 74.8 mph average bat speed was second best of the event. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound, infielder also ran a 6.92 60, was 84 mph across the infield and had a max vertical of 31.8 inches. Athletic uncommitted prospect to know in the state.

Body: 5-11, 180 pounds. Defined, sturdy build.
Hit: RHH. Wide base, slightly open, hitterish look, rhythmic load, simple stride, utilizes lower-half. Creates clear hand and bat-speed through the zone, flat path, swings with all sorts of intent, on the barrel throughout. 74.8 mph bat speed with 14g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 101 mph max exit velocity (93.9 avg.); 339-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 84 mph. Plays with intent across, short circle and high 3/4 release, has life across.
Defense: Patient actions, steady two-hand gather out front, plays through the ball, some range up the middle to his glove side.
Athletic Testing: 6.92 runner in the 60-yard dash; 31.80-inch max vertical jump.

The 2021 Junior Future Games alum flashed his power potential with a home-run on Friday afternoon. Upside frame standing at 5-foot-11, 167-pounds. Simple swing with a slow load and explosive bat. Quick runner out of the box. Also displayed quality defensive actions playing up the middle.
A couple of other infielders, worth noting from BP were Derrick Holmes (Brother Rice, 2025), Tyler Trapp (Lane Tech) and CJ Deckinga (Minooka).

Lower half works in a consistent rhythm around the baseball, glove plays low and out in front of body. Soft hands, sure-handed funnels, clean to release.

Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, narrow base, smooth load, utilizes a leg lift timing trigger into an even stride. Fast hands, short and uphill bat path, gap-to-gap approach. Produced hard contact throughout, consistently backspins the baseball. Fluid rhythm throughout, advanced offensively for age.
