Uncommitted, Colaizzi started in Bartlett’s 2-1 win over Wheaton Academy. In 7.2 innings of work, the right-hander allowed no earned runs, four hits, no walks, and struck out 12, helping Bartlett take the win.
OF Josh Colaizzi (Bartlett, 2026) is yet another uncommitted prospect that showed loud tools across the board. He started things off by cruising to a 6.71 in the 60, easily translating his athleticism to the outfield with steady hands and fluid footwork, showing a quick release at times and an extremely strong arm (T94 mph). At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a strong and compact swing with intent to elevate to his pull-side, averaging 91 mph for his EV with a 100 mph peak - also reaching up to 381’ for his max distance.

Body: 5-10, 190-pounds. Compact, strong build.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, toe-tap stride. Strong and compact, intent to lift pull-side, on the barrel with loud contact. 72 mph bat speed with 21g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 100 mph max exit velocity (91.2 avg.).
Arm: RH. OF - 94 mph. Quick arm action, throws play with life.
Defense: Athletic mover, plays with pace, steady hands and quick release at times.
Athletic Testing: 6.71 runner in the 60-yard dash; 27.40-inch max vertical jump.
Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 68 in the state. Strong, compact frame, 5-foot-9, 185-pounds with round shoulders and a developed lower-half. Started in right field and hit out of the leadoff spot for the Hawks. The right-handed hitter has a calm, confident presence in the box, swings with clear intent to do damage with a flat path. He came out of the ‘pen to close the game out and attacked the zone with a fastball at 82-83 mph, attacking his glove-side confidently. To pair off the fastball he went to a sharp, 11/5 curveball in the low-70s for swing and miss.
OF Josh Colaizzi (Barlett, 2026) is another sophomore with noteworthy tools in various aspects of his workout. A strong-bodied, compact athlete at 5-foot-9, 173-pounds, Coalizzi posted a 1.65 10-yard split and ran a 6.78 in the 60-yard dash, jumping 32.5” in our vertical jump test as well. Coalizzi’s hardest ball came off his barrel at 96.7 mph, averaging 87.7 mph per batted ball, and he also peaked at 93 mph from the outfield - one of the day’s highest marks.

Currently ranked No. 58 in the state, the right-handed hitter impressed with a max EV of 96.7 mph, averaging 87.7 mph with a max distance of 332’. He has strong hands throughout his stroke, utilizing his lower-half through impact with a flat path, working uphill on pitches up in the zone. In the outfield, Colaizzi moves well laterally with a quick first step, also showing off an explosive arm that reached up to 93 mph from a crow hop. He performed extremely well in the 60, recording a 6.73 with a peak run speed of 20.7 mph, also turning in a 32.5” max vertical jump.

Hit: RHH. Balanced setup that starts and works in his legs, coils lower-half before moving into a long stride, gains ground. Strong hands, uses lower-half through impact, flat path, uphill on pitches up in the zone with intent to elevate, worked mostly back up the middle. 68.2 mph bat speed with 18 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 91 mph. 332’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 93 mph. Explosive arm, high 3/4 release, clean path.
Defense: Athletic build, moves well laterally, athletic footwork, twitchy, confident one-hand gather, moves extremely well into crowhop.

Hit: RHH. Crouched setup, strong base, loads into backside, leg-lift trigger. Aggressive with control, strong hands, consistently on the barrel up the middle contact. Finished game play with two walks and a run scored. 66.6 mph bat speed with 16 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 83.6 mph. 321’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 88 mph. Short, clean arm, throws play true, with carry and accuracy.
Defense: Quick, active feet, athletic, fluid actions, plays through the ball with intent, soft hands.
Run: 6.73 runner in the 60.
OF Josh Colaizzi (Bartlett, 2026) had a big workout day where he put up some of the top numbers across the board when it comes to a 2026 prospect. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound, strong, right-handed hitter swings with controlled aggression and leverage throughout; recorded a max exit velocity of 96 mph and showed off advanced arm strength in the outfield, topping at 88 mph. He also ran a 6.73 60, one of the top times of the event.

OF/RHP Josh Colaizzi (Bartlett, 2026) made a strong impression at his PBR debut. The talented, two-way 2026 is listed at 5-foot-9, 175-pounds, with clear overall strength. Colaizzi started the day by running 6.88 in the 60-yard dash, the best of the event, followed up with one of the more impressive rounds of batting practice. A right-handed hitter, he has a compact swing, fast/strong hands, lets the ball travel deep in the zone and was on the barrel working gap-to-gap, producing a max exit velocity of 93.6 mph. From the outfield he showed off a loose and quick arm with life that produced an outfield velocity of 87 mph. Colaizzi finished the event by throwing a ‘pen where he showed a three-pitch mix. His fastball sat 78-80 mph, topping out at 81 mph with carry through the zone. His curveball and slider both played similarly with 12/6 shape that he landed in the bottom of the zone for strikes. He reached a max spin rate of 2560 on his slider. Colaizzi emerged as a name to know in the 2026 class.
