Arm: RH. C - 71 mph. Medium arm circle, high 3/4 release.
Defense: 2.04-2.11 pop times. Soft receiver, quick/clean transfer, gains ground to second while working in-line with the base out of the chute, athletic mover from the crouch.
Run: 7.24 runner in the 60.
Broome displayed a patient approach today going 1-for-1 with two walks. Broome also impressed us with his ability to manage the game behind the dish and his willingness to block for his pitchers.
C Myles Broome (Brother Rice, 2027) stood out with his receiving abilities at last summer’s PBR Junior Future Games and he showed off a quick right-handed swing in McHenry. Broome led the field with 24.5 mph average hand speed at the plate, creating occasional leverage to the pull-side. Defensively he has soft hands and he is athletic and directional coming out of the chute.
Positional Profile: C/OF
Body: 5-9, 142-pounds. Athletic, well proportioned, shows some strength, fill coming.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, even setup. Advanced bat speed, quick hands, loud hard contact at times and pull-side approach.
Power: 81 max exit velocity, averaged 72.3 mph. 215’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 66 mph. Compact, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: 2.27-2.31 pop times. Soft hands, quick out of the crouch, clean actions and transfer, soft blocker.
Run: 4.23 30-yard split.
Junior Futures Games: Players Elijah Lewis, Myles Broome, Cole Ruggeri, and Sean Dabe all came up big with hits throughout the road to a 13-1 victory for Team Illinois.
3B Kaden Wasniewski went 2-for-3 with two singles. C Myles Broome went 2-for-3 with a triple and one RBI. CIF Elijah Lewis also went 2-for-3 with two singles and an RBI. CF Joshua Morgan hit two singles with two RBIs.
