SS/RHP, Tre Cole, Champaign Central, 2026 Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 156 in the state. Highly projectable 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame, still plenty of room to add on strength. On the mound, Cole impressed in his 2.1 innings of work, scattering two hits and one run while striking out three. The long-levered right-hander has an easy delivery with body control, messing with timing occasionally and repeating well for his size. His arm is clean from a high ¾ slot, creating a fastball in the 85-87 mph range with easy life. He also showed a bullet slider in the mid-70s along with a changeup around 79 mph with mostly straight action. At the plate, he has an easy and fluid swing that projects into more power as he continues to fill out, working well through the zone with some whip and looseness, upside swing. Defensively, he glides around the infield with long strides and steady, confident hands, creating strong throws across the diamond. High-follow two-way prospect.
