CIF Aksel McKnight (Libertyville, 2027) cemented himself as a must-know name in the state after his showing at the State Games. He was all over the barrel with a couple loud home runs, also reaching up to 102 mph for his EV in the workout with a 380’ max distance. On top of his impressive power display, he also showed above-average awareness and plate discipline with four walks. 6-foot-2, 216-pound frame with power projection, loose hands with strength at impact and the ability to lift pull-side.

Body: 6-1.6, 216.3-pounds. Lean, broad shouldered frame with some strength present throughout.
Hit: LHH. Wide base, short and simple stride. Direct to the ball, length through the zone with strength, pull-side results with lift. 74 mph bat speed with 16g of rotational acceleration.

Standing 6-foot-3, 210-pounds with a strong, lean frame. Got the start on the mound for the Slammers and displayed a fastball that was up to 83 while sitting 79-82 with run. He worked a slider off of that which sat 73-75 with sharp action.
