RHP Asher Pruemer (St. Joseph-Ogden, 2026) came away as one of the bigger winners on the mound from the event. An athletic mover at 5-foot-11, he pounded the zone throughout his two innings of work, striking out three and walking zero. His fastball sat 84-87 mph (T88) with life through the zone, while showing feel to spin (avg. 2478 rpm, T2724) his curveball at 72-74 mph. Pruemer rounds out his arsenal with a 79-80 mph changeup, playing with fading actions. A name to continue to follow.

RHP, Asher Pruemer, St. Joseph-Ogden, 2026 Uncommitted. Wiry, 5-foot-11, 140-pound frame, all sorts of room to add strength. Threw it well out of the ‘pen for the Spartans, going four innings with one earned run, striking out seven to only two walks. The right-hander has a quick arm that plays from a high ¾ slot, moving athletically down the mound with a drop/drive lower-half and lower release height. His fastball played right at 81-84 mph with natural run, showing hard dive at times. He also showed confidence in a sharp 11/5 curveball around 70 mph he could land for strikes. Pounded the zone with some pace, attacked hitters.
RHP Asher Pruemer (St. Joseph-Ogden, 2026) is an uncommitted arm-to-follow in Central Illinois. He stands in a high-waisted frame with plenty of room for growth at 5-foot-11, 135-pounds. He’s an athletic mover on the mound with a long and loose arm path with quickness out front. His fastball sat 79-83 mph, while topping out at 84.4 mph. He also mixed in a curveball with quality spin (avg. 2487 rpm) and a change-up with heavy fade, averaging 20.3 inches of horizontal movement.
