+ Waters is a high-waisted and long-levered 6-foot-3, 170-pound southpaw to follow. His arm plays long and loose from a ¾ slot, paired with a controlled and repeatable operation down the mound. Waters’ fastball sat 80-82 mph with a heavy finish to it with arm-side run. His curveball showed to be an out-pitch moving forward; sitting 69-70 mph with a 12/6 shape, showing depth and the ability to be located at the bottom of the zone consistently while flashing feel to spin (avg. 2334 RPM).

LHP Grayson Waters (Oak Park-River Forest, 2027) a wiry, 6-foot-3, 155-pound build, Waters impressed our staff on the mound with his controlled and easy delivery. His arm was clean with some quickness out front, helping him touch upper-70s with his fastball. Like most prospects his age, his off-speed pitches are still developing, but his change-up looked to be the better of the two, sitting 68-70 mph with an average of -17.4 inches of horizontal movement. Waters also mixed in a curveball that sat 63-64 mph.

Hit: LHH. Upright setup, leans into backside, short stride, linear lower half. Downhill path, looks to go the other way and stay up the middle. 64.8 mph bat speed with 15 G’s of rotational acceleration.
