Started on the mound for the Warriors in the 4A Deerfield Regional Semifinal, tossing five shutout innings with only three hits allowed. The left-hander was an athletic mover on the mound, working downhill with intent, with a quick ¾ arm slot that hid the ball well. Looked to be a fierce competitor on the mound, wanting the ball in big situations and working out of multiple jams. Displayed confidence in his three pitch mix, producing swings and misses throughout the outing to finish with seven strikeouts. His fastball sat 86-89 mph early on, settling into 85-88 mph with late arm-side run. He also flashed a deceptive changeup at 79-82 mph that played with heavy armside sink, and a sharp horizontal slider at 74-77 mph. An overall impressive outing from the still uncommitted junior, who continues to make a name for himself as a left-handed arm to follow.

LHP Sean McNair (Deerfield) had one of the better outings for the entire event - working two innings of one-hit ball with five strikeouts. Standing in a well-proportioned 5-foot-8, 163-pound frame. McNair attacked the zone with his three-pitch mix, while using a steady dose of each. His fastball played in the low-80’s (T84) with an average spin of 2220 rpm. He would then turn to a 75-76 mph slider with feel for the zone, before rounding his arsenal out with a quality splitter at 75-76 mph with heavy sink (avg. 0.8” IVB) and arm-side fade.

The left-hander gets horizontal run to his fastball that ran up to 87 mph and sat 85-87 mph. Displayed some control of a tight 2/8 slider at 75-77 mph and splitter at 75-78 mph. Worked quick from the third-base side of the rubber, getting significant extension driving down the mound. He displayed a quick ¾ arm action with a full circle at the back.

The southpaw worked exclusively out of the stretch, controlling his leg lift into a tall/fall operation downhill, working well down the mound. His arm is clean with a full circle in the back, working quickly into an easy ¾ release. He impressed with a big fastball, topping out at 86 mph while cruising around 85 mph throughout the duration of his showing. To pair off the fastball he went to a 2/8 sweeping slider at 69-71 mph and straight splitter at 73-75 mph.
