Maurer works from a ¾ slot with low effort, utilizing a hybrid setup with rhythm in the delivery. He attacked the zone and showed command throughout his two innings of work, throwing 15 of his 20 pitches for strikes. Maurer works from a ¾ slot with low effort, utilizing a hybrid setup and medium knee lift down the mound. His fastball sat 76-80 mph with natural arm-side run, pairing it with a curveball in the upper-60s that showed tight, short break, and a 71-72 mph changeup with fading action.
