INF Kellen Sears (Blue Valley Northwest, 2029) has the makings of a premier left-handed bat in the state’s freshman class. A 6-foot-3, 157-pound athlete, Sears already shows feel for using his long levers at the plate, generating a 93.3 mph top exit velocity from a smooth, repeatable left-handed swing, with plenty more to come remaining as he continues to add strength. To wrap up the day, Sears hopped on the mound, running his fastball up to 82 mph while flashing feel for a curveball/changeup mix.
