Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-4, 201-pounds. Long lean frame with room for added strength.
Hit: LHH. Tall open setup with a balanced base, weight centered, and bat resting on back shoulder. Uses a short leg lift trigger working back to even. Compact flat path through the zone, some barrels, present power. 74.4 mph bat speed with 16 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 87.5 mph. 338' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-87 mph.
Defense: Confident aggressive actions defensively.
ATH: 7.53 runner in the 60. 1.80 and 4.15 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 18.50 max vertical.
Sunday provided our staff with another look at a top two-way talent in the 2027 class in RHP/1B Brandon Ott (De Smet Jesuit, 2027). Possessing some of the most upside in the class, Ott uses a 6-foot-4, 188-pound frame and a loose, whippy arm action to run his fastball up to 87 mph on the mound, pounding the zone consistently at 85-86 mph. Off of that he spun a sweeping slider at 72-74 mph with an average of -10” of horizontal movement and turned over a low-spin changeup to pair. At the plate, Ott swung a physical left-handed barrel that drove balls from gap-to-gap, reaching a 97.5 mph exit velocity on his best barrel - good for the second best mark on the day. He also showed off his arm strength in the field, posting a 86 mph mark from first base.

Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-2, 188-pounds. High waisted, long projectable build.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery with a deliberate tempo. Uses a moderate leg lift before striding straight down the mound into a balanced landing.
Arm Action: RH. Loose arm action from a 3/4 slot.
FB: T85, 80-84 mph. Moderate spin, some strikes, arm side run. T2278, 2178 average rpm.
SL: 69-69 mph. Moderate spin, sharp right to left break. T2176, 2176 average rpm.
CH: 77-80 mph. Some strikes, arm side fade. T1850, 1687 average rpm.

Body: 6-2, 188-pounds. High waisted, long projectable build.
Hit: LHH. Tall setup, balanced base, front foot slightly open. Some rhythmic movement in hands, short leg lift trigger working back to even and gaining ground forward. Long slightly uphill path through the zone, mostly barrels. Power present with high exit veolcity. 71.1 mph bat speed with 15 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 79.5 mph. 317' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-80 mph. Moderate stroke from a low 3/4 slot.
Defense: Confident athletic actions defensively.
RHP/1B Brandon Ott (De Smet Jesuit, 2027) continues to show why he is a top five player in the Missouri 2027 class. Packed with projectability in a 6-foot-4, 188-pound frame, Ott was consistently on the barrel back through the middle of the field throughout BP using his advanced bat speed to reach exit velocities upwards of 97 mph. His arm strength and athleticism were on full display at first base where he reached 80 mph on his firmest bullet across the diamond and showed feel for footwork around the bag. To wrap up the day, Ott hopped on the mound, and although he didn’t have his best stuff, pitched in the mid-80s with his fastball, generating swings and misses with a slider/changeup mix.

Body: 6-3, 175-pounds. Long, high-waisted frame. Projectable build.
Hit: LHH. Upright, open stance with a narrow base. Quiet actions pre-pitch. Hands load down with a small leg kick to square. Slight uphill swing plane. Bat speed through the zone. Pull approach with flashes of power. 74.7 mph bat speed with 16 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 86.7 mph. 331' max distance. Above-average bat speed.
Arm: RH.
ATH: 7.52 runner in the 60. 1.77 in the 10 yard split. 23.60 max vertical.
