Legacy Scout Day: Quick Hits
October 31, 2025
On Sunday, October 12th, the Prep Baseball Missouri staff traveled to the Legacy Facility in Chesterfield, MO to host the annual Legacy Scout Day. This event, featured 50 players from the Legacy program in attendence.
All of our events offer players the opportunity to update their recruiting resume and showcase their talents in front of our staff. We also use these events as identifiers for future invite-only events, like the Preseason All-State, our summer Top Prospect Games, and the prestigious Prep Baseball Future Games that takes place at the tail end of the summer. To see what our events offer, click HERE.
Earlier, our staff rolled out the day’s statistical standouts in leaderboard format within our ‘Stat Story’, which you can find HERE. Today, after combing through our notes from the day, we’ve compiled some of the event’s standouts within these ‘Quick Hits’. Read below to learn about 8 names that popped to our staff from Sunday's trip to Chesterfield.
QUICK HITS
+ Sunday’s trip to Chesterfield gave our staff another look at RHP Eli Reppy (Parkway Central, 2027). Reppy showed notable jumps on the mound, adding nearly four mph to his fastball since our last look in February and topping at 87.7 mph in this outing. The 6-foot-5, 165-pound right-hander works with a loose arm and easy operation, suggesting even more velocity is on the way. He pitched comfortably at 85-87 mph with spin rates surpassing 2,600 RPM at times. Off his fastball, Reppy spun a 72-74 mph curveball that averaged 2,650+ RPM and showed true swing-and-miss potential, while also turning over an 80-81 mph changeup to round out his arsenal. Reppy’s combination of projection and stuff makes him an intriguing follow heading into the spring.

+ LHP Dante Gianino (Gibault Catholic (IL), 2028) emerged from Sunday’s event as a must-see arm in the Illinois sophomore class. Gianino stands in an athletic, high-waisted 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame with more projection still to come. His delivery features easy actions and minimal effort down the mound, paired with a loose arm from a ¾ slot from the left side. Gianino’s ability to control a true three-pitch mix stood out during his bullpen, showing an advanced feel for the zone for his age. His fastball sat in the low-80s, topping at 85.6 mph, while mixing in a developing 72-74 mph slider and a mid-70s changeup that averaged -17 inches of horizontal movement.
