Dominic Naylor, Home School (TX), 2027 Positional Profile: SS/RHP RHH/INF Will have strong build. Athleticism present, plus runner, will continue to add speed. Solid defensive player, abv avg arm. Solid bat/power combo, power over hit. Like the way he impacts the baseball. Body: 6-1, 187-pounds. Good build/frame to add strength in future. Projectable. Hit: RHH. Drawback stride, lands in good position to hit. Rotational back foot, okay using lower 1/2, recommend developing linear movement forward with back foot increasing use of lower 1/2. Hits into firm front side with body laying back slightly. Looking for upright posture at contact, should happen with development of linear movement. Barrel/hands in good launch position, bat/hand speed present. Swing works well into zone with hard contact. 72.5 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 105 max exit velocity, averaged 96.8 mph. 389' max distance. Project good bat/power combo in future. Raw tools present with bat/hand speed. Hard contact now with opportunities for improvement with lower 1/2 in swing increasing hard contact. Arm: RH. INF-86 mph. Arm works, shows arm quickness, accurate throws. Did not show ability to throw from all angles. Defense: INF…feet work fine. Nice job of playing thru baseball. Fields baseball deep, work to field more out front. ATH: 6.87 runner in the 60. Solid start, runs well.

A plus runner with a 6.87 60 time, Naylor has put significant work into the weight room, and it’s paying off. His physicality stands out, and he boasts some of the biggest power in the 2027 class, recording a max exit velocity of 105 mph and a max distance of 389 feet. At the plate, his swing works well through the zone, producing consistent hard contact and showcasing a promising bat/power combo. Defensively, Naylor displays an above-average arm (86 mph infield velocity) with accurate throws and solid footwork, showing the ability to play through the baseball. Uncommitted 6 foot 1 200 pound SS/RHP from Texas swung a super loud and impressive bat this week at the 15u National Championship. As well as swinging it well Naylor also showed electric stuff on the mound working his FB into the 88-90 range with good spin behind it. The sky's the limit for Naylor, producing electric numbers at the plate and on the mound. Excited to see which route Naylor continues to work, or if he chooses to stay a two-way. Either way it will fun to watch both

Dominic Naylor, Cedar Park (TX), 2027 Positional Profile: SS/RHP Interesting bat/power combo with upside, fun to watch hit, will get better with adjustments. Defensively will be avg defender with avg arm. Fun to watch develop. Body: 6-0, 198-pounds. Good frame/build to add strength in future. Well proportioned physically. Hit: RHH. Open stance with feet set past shoulders, knee lift..drawback stride with solid move forward with leg/foot, lands in good position to hit. Rotational back foot with some linear movement, does a good job of using lower 1/2 in swing. Overall solid approach to hit. Bat/hand speed present, aggressive swinger. Barrel/hands start in good position. Movement to barrel with hand cock creates slight barrel tip along with timing issues, barrel launch position varies. Length to swing with dead pull approach. Can shorten swing with better launch position along with more direct path to hitting zone with hands/barrel. 74.5 mph bat speed with 16 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 106 max exit velocity, averaged 95.9 mph. 409' max distance. Upside to bat/power combo. Solid approach to hit, bat/hand speed present, aggressive hitter. Opportunities for adjustments. Fun to watch hit. Arm: RH. INF-86 mph. OF-82 mph. Arm works fine with avg arm speed. Fair accuracy. Arm speed and accuracy can improve with long toss throwing program along with being more athletic when throwing instead of upright and stiff. Defense: Inf…feet work fine getting body into position to field baseball. Can improve playing thru baseball with footwork. Hands work fine, can improve fielding baseball out front, currently fields into body. Fair body control/agility. OF…moves fine to baseball getting into position to field, does a good job of funneling glove to hand. Stiff, upright thrower, can be more athletic. ATH: 7.36 runner in the 60. Runs hard, will increase speed with added strength and physical maturity. 26.60 max vertical.
