Humphries is a solid, durable catcher with the physical build to add strength. He’s a strong, well-rounded prospect with the potential to develop both behind the plate and at the plate. With a max exit velocity of 96 mph, he’s shown impressive bat speed, and his power continues to develop. As he adds strength, his bat-to-ball skills will become even more impactful. Defensively, Humphries has a strong arm with an 80 mph throw and shows good accuracy and carry on his throws. His pop times are already solid at 1.94 and should improve with continued development.
