Projectable catcher with a frame built for added strength. Above-average runner for the position. Received well during game play and posted solid pop times in workouts. Projects for a quality bat/power combination.
Archer Miller, Canyon Lake H S (TX), 2028
Positional Profile: C/SS RHH/INF: Great build and frame with width through the shoulders; projects well physically with future strength upside. Start can be firmer with solid run form and stride length; speed should improve as strength and physical maturity develop. Hitting: Athletic setup with a small knee lift load. Hands work into solid hit position around back shoulder. Legs stay a little narrow at times; creating slightly more room without getting too wide will improve swing efficiency. Solid rhythm and path with hands and elbows, working into the hit zone consistently. Slightly wider base at contact will allow more extension and adjustability. Projects a solid bat/power combo in the future; adjustments and physical maturity should firm impact. Defense/Arm: Short, clean arm path with solid ball/glove exchange. Accurate throws with soft hands. Shows quality glove action with some mobility to block and throw. Plays through the baseball with solid mechanics.

Hit: RHH. Back foot fully rotated, develop ability to drive back foot forward to fully engage lower 1/2, presently foot slides towards 3rd slightly hindering lower. Hits into firm front leg. Stride foot rolls onto side of foot at contact, work to keep foot into ground thru contact. Hit from ground up. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Takes solid path to baseball with both hands/barrel. Bat speed will continue to develop with added strength. 65.7 mph bat speed with 14 G's of rotational acceleration.

6’1” 150 with plenty of room to fill out. Showed solid receiving skills in game play. Pop times were strong in workouts and will carry into games with more reps. Developing bat speed and made solid contact in game play. Catcher to follow as he continues to add strength and grow physically.

Body: 6-0, 153-pounds. Good build/frame. Has some width to shoulders. Solid base. Frame supports added strength in the future with growth and maturity. Good physical projections.
Hit: RHH. No stride approach, loads into back leg to start swing. Good position to hit. Rotational back foot, work to drive foot forward some to increase use of lower 1/2 in swing resulting in more impact. Keep stride foot into ground, rolls onto side of foot some, hit from ground up, feet into ground is added strength. Nice upright posture with swing. Stay into ball of back foot, falling back kills momentum. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Swing works into zone, work to stay behind baseball. Pull swing presently, pull approach. Staying behind baseball will increased ability to impact baseball and allow all field hit ability. 63.8 mph bat speed with 12 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 78.9 mph. 292' max distance. Project solid bat/power combo in future. Solid base to work from for the 2028 grad. Adjustments will increase ability to impact baseball and add to contact consistency. Upside.
Arm: RH. C-76 mph. Arm works, shows some arm speed is present. Flashes some carry to throws. Recommend long toss to keep building upon arm strength and speed.
Defense: 1.99-2.11 pop times. Foot work is solid. Has a clean glove to hand exchange. Direction occasionally is pointed towards the right side of the bag, work on the direction of the finish.
ATH: 7.12 runner in the 60. 1.79 and 4.05 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Runs and moves well. Nice actions. Strides with length. Threat on the basepaths, will get faster.
