Future Games 2025: OF Chace Staude (Kettle Moraine) is a toolsy, left-handed hitting outfielder and put on a strong showing throughout the weekend. He had a strong showing at the plate during his three games, with a 2-for-4 day with a stolen base in Game one producing a strong showing of his skillset. Uncommitted, one of the top athlete’s the state’s sophomore class, twitchy athlete listed at 5-foot-11, 163 pounds with clear room to add to the frame. Started at shortstop and hit leadoff for the Lasers, going 2-for-4 at the plate with a run scored. The left-handed hitter swings an upside bat with twitch, definitely showing an “A” swing throughout the game while taking a more simple and direct hack with two strikes. Defensively at shortstop, Staude is an athlete with steady and capable actions, although a natural center fielder Staude shows the ability to play both at any given time. One of the top sophomores in the state and a name to continue to monitor moving forward.

OF Chace Staude (Kettle Moraine, 2027) had an impressive performance with the bat and the glove and showed us exactly why he was a Junior Future Games participant for Team Wisconsin last summer. Staude displayed a loose and highly repeatable swing from the left side and drove the ball continuously to both gaps. Staude showed impressive balance and use of his lower half to consistently deliver the barrel to the baseball. The freshman has a wiry and projectable frame and should be able to add more size and strength to his frame and tap into more power. Despite that, he still reached a max exit velocity of 87.8 mph and drove a ball 326 ft. During outfield defense, Staude’s hardest throw came in at 88 mph, an advanced number for someone his age, showing off a good deal of arm strength with legitimate carry on his throws. Our staff was excited about what they saw from the young outfielder overall and are looking forward to seeing how he develops.
OF/INF Chase Staude (Kettle Moraine, 2026) gave a strong look over the weekend. The former Junior Future Games participant has a loose left-handed stroke, working with some rhythm pre-pitch and looking to stay up the middle of the field with line-drives. Athletic frame with upside, listed at 5-foot-10, 155-pounds.
Offering one the highest upside looks, OF/INF Chace Staude (Kettle Moraine, 2027) is slick left-handed hitting multi-position prospect who will certainly play a role for Team Wisconsin this week. His smooth left-handed bat found a handful of barrels throughout his round and we have certainly seen it play out in game. As for his defense, he topped at 80 mph on his hardest throw home and 77 mph from the infield, too.
Staude put his athleticism on display Friday morning and is an exciting player to watch going forward. Was on the barrel early with a smooth, loose left-handed swing that generated advanced bat-speed. Showed his ability to make plays in the OF with foot-speed and advanced arm strength. Played with confidence and had impressive instincts on the base-paths as well. A player to follow in Wisconsin’s 2027 class.
OF Chace Staude (Kettle Moraine, 2027) is an athletic infield prospect who showed well during our first day in Windsor. Standing at a projectable 5-foot-10, 140-pounds Staude recorded a max exit velocity of 82.7 mph, and an average of 77.4 mph from a smooth left-handed swing. While in the outfield, Staude is an athletic mover and works through the ball on his throws home to deliver 80 mph bullets from a loose arm.
