He stands in at a projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pounds with plenty of room for added strength. He displayed a lively fastball/slider combo with spin being a strength among both pitches.. He ran his fastball in the 86-89 mph range, even topping out at 91.2 mph with an average of 2437 rpms on the pitch. His slider ran up to 2600+ rpms and stayed in the 77-80 mph range with late bite to the pitch. There is plenty of projection within both Coisman’s frame and arsenal, and should continue to be an exciting follow.
+ RHP Jacob Coisman (Luxemburg-Casco, 2027) one of the top right-handers in the class, impressed at his showcase debut. Standing 6-foot-3, 170 pound with clear room to add to his wiry frame. Confident in his two pitch mix, the fastball sat 87-88 mph flashing carry averaging 15.5 inches of IVB with a max of 20.4 inches of max IVB. The slider has been his go-to offering in game, sitting 75-76 mph with sharp two plane action and feel to locate throughout the zone. Filthy look from the sophomore right hander who is not even close to the finished product with how long and wiry the frame is.
Displaying a slim 6-foot-1, 150-pound frame with a projection for added strength, Jacob Coisman did not disappoint in his outing against the Sparks. The righty threw a full seven innings only allowing two runs. Mechanically, Coisman throws with a high leg kick striding in line with the plate. He’s a loose and easy mover on the mound. He throws out of a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action fully extending his arm on his delivery. His fastball is thrown at a firm 81-84 mph topping 85 mph possessing late run and rise. While Coisman mostly throws his fastball, he will throw his 71-72 mph curveball every so often to keep hitters off balance.
