This Sunday, March 16th, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin team is hosting the Madison Preseason ID at GRB Academy in Windsor, WI. This is an open event for all high school classes (2025-28), and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

EVENT HISTORY

We've been hosting this event for the past twelve years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent players who've later gone on to receive invitations to select events, like the PBR Future Games.

Last year, our top performers were SS/2B Preston Yaucher (Edgewood, 2025; Penn State), RHP/1B Dylan Schreiber (Waukesha West, 2027), RHP/SS Jaxon Clayton (Brookfield Central, 2025; Brigham Young), 3B/SS Kaden Connor (Monona Grove, 2025; North Dakota State), RHP Adam Urban (West, 2024; Minnesota), OF Jimmy Angle (Kettle Moraine, 2026), OF/RHP Wes DuCharme (Waunakee, 2027), 3B/SS Winston Alonso (Reedsburg, 2026), C/OF Terek Verhage (Monona Grove, 2025; University of St. Thomas), SS/RHP Mack Krause (Neenah, 2026). We're looking forward to checking in on the next crop of talent from this event to earn next-level attention in the coming weeks, months, and years.

2025 ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

RHP/OF Eli Bauler (Monona Grove, 2027) stands a strong 6'1" and weighs 215 pounds. On the mound, he has an easy, simple, and repeatable delivery, getting into his backside with a quick arm. At the plate, he shows a smooth, rhythmic rock back into a strong hitting position, consistently on time. His maximum exit velocity was an impressive 98 mph, and it will be exciting to see if he reaches 100 mph at this year's event.

C/SS Jack Brenner (Fond du Lac, 2026; Kent State) stands at an athletic and projectable 5'11" and 161 pounds. At the plate, he has a narrow setup with a short leg lift that gains ground. His swing is loose and compact with a level path. Behind the plate, he is clean and quick out of the crouch with a fast arm trigger. Brenner’s pop time is an impressive 1.93. He was a participant in the Prep Baseball Future Games and is committed to Kent State.

RHP/OF Jacob Coisman (Luxemburg-Casco, 2027) has a slim 6-foot-1, 150-pound frame with room for added strength. Coisman is a loose and easy mover on the mound. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action, fully extending his arm during his delivery. His firm 85 mph fastball features late run and rise. With a high ceiling, Coisman is sure to impress at this year’s event.

SS/3B Jonny Deets (La Crosse Aquinas, 2027) has a proportional and projectable 5'8", 158-pound frame. At the plate, he creates good separation, showing a loose and easy swing with quality rhythm and timing. He takes a whole-field approach, hitting line drives. A natural infielder, he has soft hands that work confidently out front, with a quick transfer and an arm that plays well on the move. It will be exciting to see how much Deets has progressed during the offseason.

RHP/1B Dylan Schreiber (Waukesha West, 2027) has a lengthy and projectable 6'6", 205-pound frame. On the mound, he uses an easy leg lift with full backward extension. His 86 mph fastball has life through the zone, featuring late arm-side run. At the plate, he shows an easy, rhythmic swing. He stays short through the baseball and drives line drives to the pull side and into the gap, with a quick 75.1 mph bat speed. We can’t wait to see what Schreiber brings to the table at this year’s event.

Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a lot of players who’ve not yet attended a PBR showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.
