Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 24 in the state’s sophomore class. Standing at a strong 6-foot-1, 180-pounds with proportional strength to the frame. DH’d and hit fifth for Whitefish Bay, going 1-for-2 at the plate with a run and two hit by pitches. Loose and athletic right-handed swing with strength and feel to use all fields. Defensively the infielder was playing with fluid and natural actions pregame looking like a defender with a ceiling at third base as he continues to build up from surgery last spring and our staff will continue to monitor the progress throughout the spring/summer seasons.

During his round of batting practice, he hit with a very controlled swing and a compact hand path and was able to produce EV’s up to 90 mph. On defense, the feet and hands worked well through the baseball towards first base and he was 80 mph across the infield with a clean arm stroke. He works from a simple and repeatable stance, maintaining balance while utilizing a leg kick to gain momentum. Egan uses his lower half well, along with loose hands that lead to line drives to all fields. The infielder showed quick feet and plus range on the dirt, working to a ¾ slot up to 78 mph, tied for the best time of the day.
