Dobberstein has already stacked multiple quality outings together, his most recent being the most impressive, tossing a five inning no-hitter, striking out 13 batters while walking the first batter of the game.
Evangel commit. Currently ranked No. 43 in the state. Athletic, well-proportioned 6-foot-2, 191-pound frame with some present strength throughout. Got the ball to start for the Pirates, and put together a strong showing. An uptempo mover down the mound with a short and quick arm action, paired with a ¾ release. Dobberstein filled the zone with both offerings and limited hard contact throughout his start. His fastball sat 86-88 mph (T89) with occasional carry through the zone, while going to a high-spin (2700+ rpm) breaking ball at 76-77 mph that played tight. Line: W, 4 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 R, 2 K. He also collected two hits at the plate.
Uncommitted, Dobberstein has been a big factor in the Pirates 10-0 start to the year. Against West Allis Central the right-hander tossed a complete game shutout only allowing two hits across seven innings. Also during this start, Dobberstein set a school record of 16 strikeouts during the outing.

RHP Owen Dobberstein (Pewaukee, 2025) is a 6-foot-2, 185-pound righty with projection in his frame. The Pewaukee native used a quick side-step delivery and high leg-lift into a tall-and-fall delivery. His athletic movement downhill and compact arm action helped generate the velocity on his fastball, which sat 82-84, reaching 84.6 mph with life. Dobberstein showed two breakers - a curveball with tight 11/5 action and feel to land, a pitch he threw at a firm 73-74 mph, and a slider with shorter break but similar action at 74-75. His changeup had fade with some depth, a pitch he threw consistently in the zone at 79 mph. As for offspeeds, he spun in a mid-to-upper-70s slider with quick downer break that he was able to spot up low in the zone. His changeup was also a quality offering, as it plays with fading action while being thrown at arm speed.
Dobberstein continues to raise his stock as an arm, and performed well on Saturday to earn the win for GRB Stiks Hybrid. Standing at 6-foot-2, 215-pounds, Dobberstein used a three-pitch mix to navigate through the opposing lineup with ease in a run-rule victory. Sat 82-84 mph with the fastball, commanding the pitch while mixing in a sharp slider and fastball-like changeup. The right-hander struck out six in four innings pitched, continuing to raise his stock as a pitching prospect after a successful spring at Pewaukee.
