Jacoby Pitnikoff, Bella Vista High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: C/2B Strongly built backstop with present strength, an uphill swing built for lift, and reliable defensive actions behind the plate.
Body: 5-9, 178-pounds. sturdy build with noticeable present strength across the frame.

ATH: 7.29 runner in the 60. 1.72 and 4.02 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 20.40 max vertical.
Vizual Edge: 82.08 Edge Score
Pitnikoff was one of the three catchers who attended the event, tied with the best pop time of the day with a 2.11 sec and a max velocity of 73 mph. There is some arm strength behind the dish along with quick transfers, he uses the ground well when throwing down to second, mixing in a lot of smooth long hops. His throws to third were accurate and in the tag zone. Pitnikoff took some groundballs in the infield and profiles more of a second baseman, but the bat is something I took some notice of. If he can potentially learn some more infield spots I think his bat will keep him in the lineup. Pitnikoff ran a 7.30 60-yard dash which has the potential to get lowered in the future, he's a pretty athletic/strong kid. During BP, I noticed he did a really good job of using the middle/opp approach, most of his juice was towards the middle of the field. There were even some misses to the oppo gap where he showed some legit backspin. Pitnikoff had a max EV of 94.9 mph with an average EV of 87.7 mph, and a max distance of 346 feet. Pitnikoff attends Bella Vista High School where he’s got a shot to be one of their impact players next season.
