Torres participated in the event as a two-way player taking a turn on the mound, but the LH hitting 1B out of the Inland Empire appears here for the way he swung the bat at PK Park. While his defensive profile appears to be strictly limited to 1B he is a solid defender over there who handled the opportunities presented to him over two games with comfort. It's the hit tool for this LH hitter that stood out amongst a very strong group of California hitters. Torres is comfortable in the box facing any type of pitcher with four at bats off four different styles of pitchers. He showed the feel to use the entirety of the field with hard contact from line to line that helped him collect multiple hits over the two games played. His bat path plays mainly to line drive contact, but it's hard line drive contact including rocketing a double to RF in his first trip to the dish and following it up with a missile single to CF in his next trip to the dish. Keep your eyes on Torres going forward as the type of offensive player who can be an impact profile for a lineup at the next level.
