Orange County Summer ID: Infielder Analysis

On June 4th, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the Orange County Summer ID at Hart Park in Orange, Cal. This is an open event for high school classes (2026-29), and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top prospects.

38 players made their way to Hart Park and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

Today, we will be looking at all of the infielder’s scouting reports:

TOP INFIELDERS

1. Mason Park, Fullerton Union High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/2B INF with an arm that can project to the left side of the diamond long term and a heavy barrel that produces consistent hard contact.
Body: 5-9, 167.3 pounds. Compact frame, possesses strength throughout.
Hit: RHH. Easy operation, quiet load, early stride, balanced throughout. Heavy barrel, longer path, extension through the zone, possesses some whip to barrel. 68 mph bat speed with 13g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 mph max exit velocity (91.6 avg.); 360-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 86.00 mph. Loose and compact, 3/4 slot, possesses some carry.
Defense: Soft feet, smooth gather, fluid actions through the ball.
Athletic Testing: 7.22 runner in the 60-yard dash.
