On September 26th, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the West Coast Super Sophomore Games at the University of Oregon and Bushnell University. This was an invite-only event for 2028 prospects, and gave our staff an ample look at the area's top prospects.
50 players made their way to Oregon and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

PITCHER ANALYSIS
Lucah Alvarado, St Bonaventure High School (CA), 2028
Positional Profile: RHP/1B Strike-throwing RHP with coordination that should only improve as he fills out.
Body: 5-11, 183-pounds. Athletic frame with lean strength and clear physical upside as he continues to add size.
Delivery: Stretch only delivery. Slow, deliberate tempo that allows him to stay controlled throughout. Shorter leg lift with the weight stacked on the back leg, creating a gathered move down the mound. Maintains tall posture into release and lands softly with solid balance.
Arm Action: RH. Full arm circle feeding into a lower 3/4 slot, creating natural whip. Quick, compact release with noticeable arm speed.
FB: T79, 74-79 mph. Late arm-side run spin. Consistent strikes, pitching to contact, and inducing weak GB outs. Attacks both north-to-south and east-to-west for strikes. T2109, 1968 average rpm.
SL: 69-72 mph. Flashes a workable breaking ball with more horizontal sweep than vertical depth. Spins it well, giving it potential as a future chase pitch with continued tightening. T2214, 2038 average rpm.
Jacob Cole, Whitney (CA), 2028
Positional Profile: SS/RHP Two-way player with more development coming on both sides of the ball.
Body: 5-5, 133-pounds. Lean, athletic frame with long-term physical projection as he continues to mature.
Delivery: Quick-paced windup beginning with a side step. Short leg lift with a noticeable sink into the back leg before moving down the mound. Out of the stretch, shows a fast, efficient slide step to control the run game.
Arm Action: RH. Full arm circle working into a quick, high 3/4 slot. Arm works with intent and gets up on time.

Oliver Dauskurdas, Oaks Christian (CA), 2028
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Two-way talent with standout athletic traits and emerging impact ability at the plate as a long-term OF prospect.
Body: 6-3, 195-pounds. Long-limbed, well-proportioned athlete with strength already present and plenty of physical ceiling remaining.
Delivery: Maintains a controlled, steady tempo with repeatable mechanics. Works upright down the mound with a long, efficient stride that helps him stay on line.

Positional Profile: RHP/3B Projectable two-way player with room for improvement and upside on both sides of the ball.

Positional Profile: LHP/LHP Starter profile with high upside that is really starting to come into his own.
Body: 5-10, 165-pounds. Sturdy build with a clear physical projection ahead as he matures.
Delivery: Utilizes a pronounced high leg kick that helps him gather momentum early. Keeps the glove set high at the chest throughout the move, creating a tall, upright look before driving down the mound. Lower-half drive is still developing, but he stays controlled and repeats the motion consistently.
