Wabash Valley commit, currently ranked No. 52 in the state. 6-foot-2, 203-pounds, continues to add quality mass and strength. Started at first base and hit out of the three-hole, finishing the day 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Extremely polished left-handed hitter, comfortable look in the box with all sorts of rhythm, controls the zone well and doesn’t expand or chase, above-average bat-to-ball skills, will only get better as he continues to mature physically throughout the coming years, more power to come.

OF Brady Schallmoser (Downers Grove North) committed to Wabash Valley JC just days after another impressive performance at this year’s Illinois State Games. He stands at a strong 6-foot-2, 198-pound frame, showing juice from the left-side of the plate. Schallmoser produced a peak exit velocity of 99.3 mph during his round of batting practice, staying on the barrel for an average of 91.8 mph, and sending his farthest hit ball 366 feet. During gameplay, Schallmoser delivered a ball to deep centerfield for a ground rule double.

OF Brady Schallmoser (Downers Grove North) continues to impress with his hit tool, taking an easy and loud round of BP. Listed at 6-foot-2, 192-pounds with added strength since our last look, he has rhythm in his hands that work into a flat path, staying through the zone and working on the barrel to the whole field; averaging 91.3 mph for his EV with a max of 94 mph. Upside left-handed bat with proven in-game success.

Showed well in his round of BP, averaging 85.4 mph for his exit velocity with a max EV of 96.2 mph and max distance of 342’. Finished the week 2-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored. Looks to be trending upwards defensively with improved actions and footwork.

Smooth left-handed hitter that flashed easy power the other way. Advanced feel for the barrel, recording multiple hard-outs. Also showed solid reads while roaming the outfield.
Uncommitted. Projectable and athletic 6-foot, 180-pound frame with room to add. Impressed throughout the day with quality at-bats against premium velocity, remaining on-time and appearing confident with a loose left-handed stroke. Upside left-handed hitter that should continue to develop as he gets more at-bats at the varsity level.
A trio of left-handed hitting outfielders to follow from the day were Kolin Adams (Mount Carmel), Brady Schallmoser (Downers Grove North) and Joey Arend (St. Charles East). Arend, who topped at 89 mph from the outfield also showed intrigue on the mound,with a loose, athletic arm, mid-80s fastball and two above-average secondary offerings.

One of the top bats to follow from the event was the left-handed bat of 2025 OF Brady Schallmoser (Downers Grove North). Schallmoser has a well-proportioned frame with strength throughout and a fluid, loose swing with all kinds of presence and fluidity in the box. He was on the barrel throughout showing a mature, gap-to-gap approach with natural lift through the zone. He averaged 85.1 mph, T90.9 throughout with his furthest batted ball traveling 337 feet. Defensively, Schallmoser displayed fluid, athletic actions while taking his round of defense, playing through the ball with intent and rhythm.
