SS Landon Clements (McHenry, 2027; Illinois-Chicago commit) was one of the top players in attendance showing an upside skillset both at the plate and in the infield. Smooth athlete standing at 6-foot-1, 168-pounds with twitchy strength and room for continued development. At the plate the left-handed hitter took an easy round of batting practice showing consistent feel for the barrel from a balanced and athletic swing reaching a peak EV of 96.3 mph with an average of 87.8 mph. Clements then showed arguably the best actions on the infield for the event. He plays through the ball with ease and is comfortable making plays on the move. His arm works loose and athletically, while reaching 82 mph across.

Body: 6-1, 168-pounds. Athletic and twitchy frame with continued room to add.

Clements would show a quality up-the-middle profile throughout the weekend. At the plate showed an athletic left-handed swing with an opposite field approach to pair with line-drive intent. Finished the tournament 3-for-10 with a double, four RBIs, five runs scored, and a walk. Wiry 6-foot, 160-pound frame. Name to follow in Illinois’ 2027 class.
An upside sophomore that stood out on the day was MIF Landon Clements (McHenry, 2027). Standing in at 5-foot-11, 155-pounds, Clements has a lean, high-waisted frame that still holds plenty of room to fill out. The left-handed hitter has a lot to like in his operation at the plate, controlling his levers well with a loose and whippy swing, reaching up to 90 mph for his max EV. Clements also displayed soft hands on the infield, utilizing a two-hand funnel into his body while also showing the ability to play on the move.

INF Landon Clements (McHenry, 2027) is a wiry, upside prospect who swung one of the more interesting left-handed bats on the day. He has loose hands, direct path and creates natural loft off the barrel with a balanced, easy finish. On the infield he is fundamentally sound playing from the ground up and out in front of his body, topping at 67 mph.
