One of the toolsier and more projectable prospects of the day was OF Logan Fernandez (Mount Carmel, 2026). He’s a premier athlete with a 6.67 in the 60, though we’ve had him down to a 6.41 in the past. The right-handed hitter has an upside swing with some length and extension through the zone, averaging 90 mph for his EV with a peak of 97.7 mph - also averaging 74 mph for his bat-speed and 22 mph for his hand-speed. In the outfield, Fernandez is a fluid mover with long/athletic strides, covering ground with ease and looking to be comfortable tracking fly balls. His arm strength has ticked up tremendously, reaching up to 96 mph from a crow hop which is nine mph higher than the summer.

Fernandez, at 5-foot-10, 168-pounds, reached a max run speed of 20.4 mph en route to a 6.68 60-yard dash and also jumped 34.1” in the vertical with one of the day’s better RSI scores (2.73) as well. He was on the barrel often in BP, producing eight barrels at 90+ mph in BP with a max mark at 94.8 mph. Additionally, Fernandez had the highest composite Vizual Edge score (88.81) of the entire event.
OF Logan Fernandez (Mount Carmel, 2026) came away one of the event’s biggest winners over the weekend. He has a projectable build with much more in the tank, listed at 5-foot-10, 168-pounds with lean limbs and a high waist. The right-handed hitter impressed throughout BP, staying on-plane through the zone with a flat path, whippy barrel that projects into more power as he fills out. He made consistent loud contact throughout his round, averaging 91.1 mph for his EV while topping out at 94.8 mph with a max distance of 341’. He has some tools to pair with his bat, including a strong arm from the outfield (T86 mph), premium speed (6.68-60) and a max vertical jump of 34.1”. High-ceiling prospect to know in the state.

A member of Team Illinois at the 2022 PBR Junior Future Games, OF Logan Fernandez (Mount Carmel, 2026) impressed in a brief look this past weekend. He stands in a hard-to-miss frame at 6-foot, 170-pounds with plenty more quality strength to come and a quick, athletic swing from the right side. A 6.78 runner at our past events, Fernandez peppered a ball to deep centerfield and recorded a triple, running the bases with an athletic gait. Fernandez is a high-level prospect in the state’s talented 2026 class.

Logan Fernandez (2026) put together a strong all-around showing on Wednesday, leading the event in the 60-yard dash with a 6.96 to start his day. The right-handed hitter showed off some quick/strong hands to the ball, reaching up to 87.1 mph for a max exit velocity; also showing athletic actions during the outfield workout and reaching up to 78 mph from a crow hop.
