INF/RHP Owen Sunderson (Hinsdale Central, 2027) is a strong 6-foot, 179-pound right-handed hitting two-way infielder that had a quality showing on both sides of the ball. One of the top athletes in attendance, testing at the top of nearly all of the athletic testing on the day including running a 3.83 30-yard dash. At the plate the right-handed hitter showed feel for the barrel throughout his round of BP showing feel to lift the ball to different parts of the field reaching a max exit velocity of 95.6 mph throughout his round. Defensively in the infield showing some range to either side with feel to make plays on the move, the arm plays with life and accuracy across the diamond with some arm strength up to 83 mph. On the mound the right-hander showed feel for an athletic delivery with a quick and whippy arm from a ¾ slot. The fastball sat 82-83 mph throughout the pen, with life and plane while flashing carry. Spin a firm curveball at 74-76 mph with sharp 12/6 action. Killed spin on a heavy changeup in the upper-70s with some feel to work off the fastball.
