FB command must firmed, that was a question coming into the spring, didn’t do anything to alleviate that question this outing. 2 seam will add to effectiveness of 4 seam. 2 seam has quality action. Hitters got some nice swings off against 4 seam in this brief look. Blended breaking ball at 83, pitch developing. Showed cutter in pen with action present, DNS in game. Cutter will be solid pitch. Change with action and avg deception. Stuff is there. Tough look, struggled with command in 1st spring outing while flashing secondary in CB and change. Stuff to dominate hitters as the spring moves forward. Will be scouted early as scouts make decision whether they are in or out. Command is the key.
