🔥 Texas 2026 Class Rankings: Breaking Down the State’s Deepest Talent Pool

As the high school season wraps and eyes shift toward summer circuits, Prep Baseball Texas is excited to release our updated 2026 State Rankings. With hundreds of names evaluated across the Lone Star State, the top 300 has taken shape — a group packed with projectable arms, middle-of-the-order bats, and athletic defenders, many of whom are already committed to Power 5 programs. Anytime you have 3 dynamic shortstops at the top of the rankings, you are sure to have an exciting class.

💎 Top 10 Overview

The top spot remains unchanged: Grady Emerson (Argyle, SS, Texas commit) continues to dominate the conversation. His blend of polish, presence, and production is unmatched in the class. He’s followed by Cole Koeninger (Keller, SS, Tennessee), an elite two-way player with real juice at the plate and a 98 mph fastball on the bump.

New into the top three is Spencer Browning (Pleasant Grove, SS, Arkansas), a dynamic athlete whose twitch and impact stood out this spring. Jorvorskie Lane (OD Wyatt, OF) headlines the uncommitted crop at No. 4 — his speed/power combination is rare and only improving. Rounding out the top five is Trey Rangel (The Colony, RHP, Texas), a physical right-hander with a bulldog mentality and swing-and-miss stuff.
