Good frame/build to add strength. Has added good weight and strength in past year. Expect this to continue.
FB: 90-94 Avg life present. Shows some comeback action to glove side. Sink down, tail action increasing to arm side.
CB/SL: 78-82 Solid spin. Varies action from slurvy type to 2-way breaker with avg finish. Was able to get swing and miss at times.
Delivery: Athletic, moves well. Can improve direction to finish, presently spinoff. Occasionally gets quick with front side running away from arm.
Arm action: Full circle with length. LTQ slot with crossbody finish. Plus arm speed/quickness. Will get under stuff at times.
Strengths: Athleticism. Former QB in football, SS when not pitching, good mover. Arm speed present with acceleration. Avg life to FB. Shows avg action to CB now at times with ability to get swing and miss. Spin rate over 3000. Saw 1 change with tail/sink action and good deception, swing and miss.
Obstacles: Must firm delivery and arm action. Gets quick with front side at times, will get under stuff occasionally. Command/control below avg this outing, arm side misses with FB’s. CB misses all over zone.
Summation: 2026 eligible. RHS with abv avg athleticism. Physically will have good build in future. Moves well on the mound, delivery will be tightened when he concentrates solely on pitching, 2 sport athlete along with playing SS now. Would describe as athlete on the mound currently. Release point will improve. Project plus FB in future with avg life. Good spin to breaking ball, showing avg at times now, will firm, chance for plus CB in future. Change showed action with deception. Noted issues with command/control this outing…not a long term concern. Never has fully dedicated himself to pitching only. Stuff will refine with innings and experience.
