Top-10 Profiles of 2025: No. 5 Trey Rangel

Prep Baseball Texas Staff

Checking in at No. 5 in our countdown of the most-viewed profiles of 2025 is RHP Trey Rangel (The Colony, 2026; Texas).

The two-time future gamer and 2025 All American participant, Rangel has pitched in plenty of high level competition and shown that his stuff plays. The FB started to show some serious run this summer, up to 98 and the breaking ball has always been elite.

The Texas commit will look to dominate on the mound again in his senior season before heading to the 40 acres.

From 10/29/25: "Longhorn recruiting is rolling and given the rapidly-building reputation of pitching coach Max Weiner for on-campus development, the potential for a Prep Baseball All-American like Rangel to get to campus is definitely not out of the question. A data darling whose upper 90s sinker and dizzying spin already provide multiple plus-pitches, the right-hander is a presumptive Day 1 pick whose path to campus would ignite buzz along a similar path to recent draft-sophs like Cade Horton and Jurrangelo Cijntje."
