Future Games 2025: LHP Mason Horn (Muskego) is a projectable southpaw that showed a strong feel for his three-pitch mix. Horn stands in at 6-foot-1, 176-pounds with room for additional strength. He has some athleticism on the mound that comes with some intensity, a high leg kick and explodes down the mound with a whippy arm action from a low ¾ slot. He worked his fastball up to 87 mph, jumping out of the hand and coming with some arm-side action. He showed feel for a 72-75 mph curveball with 1/7 bite and up to 2316 rpms of spin. Rounding out his arsenal is a high 70s changeup that comes with heavy fade. In his two innings of work on Saturday, the lefty threw two innings, allowing one run and striking out four batters.

Uncommitted, a rising left-hander in the state’s sophomore class. Standing at 6-foot, 167 pounds with clear room for added strength. Came on in relief, pitching through some traffic, while striking out three batters across the inning. An athlete on the mound, with feel to repeat while filling up the zone with two pitches. The fastball plays with life out of the hand, reaching the mid-80s at times while locating the pitch throughout the zone. Horn spins a low-70s breaking ball out of the same window while working off the fastball. A high follow left-hander in the state with feel to pitch.

Strikes with three pitches, a mid-80s fastball with life out of the hand and feel to locate, a tight breaking curveball and a heavy changeup that he commands. Horn has a high ceiling with a chance to start and is a name-to-know this spring and beyond.

OF/LHP Mason Horn (Muskego, 2027) is a freshman two-way with room to add to his projectable frame. Horn showed an innate feel to barrel up the ball on Saturday, using a slightly open stance into a crouch to move into a hitting position. His loose hands and flat bat path enabled him to hit line drives to the whole field, especially working the opposite field gap with authority. The Muskego native showed athletic actions in the outfield with an accurate arm which reached 84 mph, the second-best among all freshman outfielders. On the mound it’s a quick, athletic delivery with a high leg-lift into a controlled finish. His clean, quick arm action allows the ball to jump out of his hand at a ¾ slot. Horn reached 78.7 mph with the fastball, a pitch that also showed arm-side run. The lefty’s curveball showed the makings of a future weapon, a breaker at 66-67 mph with quick sweep across the zone and quality spin - a pitch that should get sharper as he matures. His changeup worked out of the same tunnel as his fastball, thrown with the same intent and arm slot as the heater.

OF/LHP Mason Horn (Muskego, 2027) is an athletic young prospect to note following Saturday’s showcase. Offensively, Horn features some fluid hands through the zone with a feel to hit that should add more pop as he continues to develop. On the mound his athletic movements and repeatable delivery point to a velocity jump in the future.
