Struck out five batters across three innings giving up three hits and two walks. Easy fluid delivery that he repeats regularly, arm action stands out paired with feel for three pitches. The fastball sat 88-89 mph with life out of the hand, scattered command early. The secondaries flash out-pitch potential, a sharp two-plane breaking ball at 78-79 mph paired with a heavy fading changeup in the mid-80s. One of the top uncommitted right-handers in the area and a rising talent in the state’s senior class.

The uncommitted senior, ran his fastball up to 90.5 mph with feel to locate throughout the zone. Both secondaries play and add to the pitch mix, the curveball sat 78-80 flashing big 11/5 action, potential swing and miss offering in game. The changeup got up to 85 mph and plays with heavy fading action looking completely different off the fastball while being released out of the same window. One of the top uncommitted seniors in the state with a high ceiling.

Delivery: Clean, athletic mover, high leg lift with tuck and coil, drop/drive in-line down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose, quick arm, 3/4 slot.
FB: T88, 85-88 mph. Clean out of the hand with life, mostly straight. T2570, 2359 average rpm.
SL: 77-79 mph. 11/5 shape, sharp action, quality spin, flashes very good feel for the pitch. T2523, 2363 average rpm.

Long 6-foot, 167-pound frame with room to fill out. Got the start in game two of the double-header against Greendale. Out of an easy and athletic delivery, Hirth ran his fastball up to 87 mph in his outing, while sitting 84-86 mph throughout. He went to a sweeping breaking ball in the mid-70s pretty often, showing quality feel to throw it in the zone for strikes and out of it for swing-and-miss. While he didn’t go to it much, he also does possess a high-70s changeup that has shown out-pitch potential in our previous looks, too. He would finish his outing with six strikeouts across his 4.1 inning of work, and scattered just two hits while walking just one. After hitting an 89 mph high at the South Milwaukee ID just a couple of months ago, Hirthe continued to impress during his first start of the season and is certainly an uncommitted name-to-know in the state’s junior class.

Listed at 6-foot, 166-pounds, the right-hander displayed a loose and athletic delivery that indicates there is more in the tank. His arm is also extremely loose throughout its path, working into a ¾ release. His fastball worked in the 87-88 mph range, topping out at 88.5 mph with easy life out of the hand and arm-side run. His curveball has wipeout potential, playing with 11/5 slurvy shape and depth, 75-76 mph. His changeup showed similar actions to his fastball with horizontal running action, playing at 78-80 mph. Overall, Hirthe is a high-upside arm to know that’s still uncommitted.

A solid 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. Worked down the mound well. Utilized a strong two-seam fastball that had some run. Maintained velocity through seven innings of work sitting 80-82 mph topping 83 mph in the second inning. Had a strong 11/5 curveball that had a sharp drop and was sitting 71-73 mph. Hirthe impressed during the nightcap on Friday. Wiry 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with plenty of room for added strength. Athletic left-handed hitter with a loose bat that covers the plate well. Natural hitter with feel to hit the ball to all-fields. Also an above average defender up the middle, showcasing confident actions and an athletic arm-action. A prospect to keep on your radar after a strong all-around showing this weekend.
