Spring Rankings Update: 2025 Class

As the dust settles on another exhilarating high school baseball season in Arizona, the latest Prep Baseball rankings for the class of 2025 have been released, offering fresh insights into the top emerging talents within the state. This spring, Arizona's young athletes have showcased their skills, resilience, and growth on the diamond, leading to significant shifts in the rankings. From dominant pitchers who have baffled batters on the mound to sluggers who have shownout with their power and consistency, the updated rankings reflect the standout performances and rising stars who have made their mark this season. Join us as we delve into the new rankings, highlighting the players who have climbed the ladder and those who have cemented their status as the elite of Arizona's 2025 class.

FULL TOP 100

 The state of Arizona boasts an impressive lineup of top high school baseball talent in the 2025 class. Leading the charge and taking the new #1 prospect spot is Boston Kellner, a recent transfer from Colorado to Hamilton High School. Kellner, a two-way prospect, has made a significant impact this spring with remarkable numbers. He batted .462 with 29 RBIs, 14 doubles, a triple, and 12 home runs over just 31 games. Additionally, Kellner shines on the mound with an upper 80s to low 90s fastball. Following his senior season, he is committed to the University of Louisville to continue his academic and baseball career. 

 

Coming in at #2 is Brett Crossland, a dominant right-handed pitcher from Mountain Pointe High School. Known for his large frame at 6-foot-6 and 240 pounds, Crossland possesses the best pitching arsenal in the class, with a fastball ranging from 90-95 mph and devastating offspeed pitches. This University of Texas commit recorded a 2.24 ERA with 94 strikeouts over 56.1 innings pitched.

 

Coming in at #3 is Caleb Danzeisen, a versatile catcher and outfielder from Valley Christian High School, the recent 3A state champions. Danzeisen, an Arizona commit, had an outstanding season, hitting .524 with 42 RBIs, 11 doubles, 2 triples, and 7 home runs. His offensive prowess makes him a key player for the Trojans.

 

Coming in at #4 is Jack Lafflam, a right-handed pitcher from Brophy High School committed to the University of Arizona. Lafflam is known for his projectable stuff, featuring a fastball consistently in the low 90s. With a long, lanky frame, he is a formidable presence on the mound. If he can hone his command, he will be one of the most feared pitchers in the state as he goes into his senior season. 

 

Rounding out the top 5 is Joe Forbes, a catcher from Mountain Ridge High School, also committed to the University of Arizona. Forbes has established himself as one of the top catchers in the state with significant improvements in his junior season behind the dish. He boasts a strong arm and excellent ability to control a pitching staff. At the plate, Forbes hit .396 this season with 2 home runs, making him a crucial player for the Mountain Lions.
