On Wednesday, June 5th, Prep Baseball staff hosted the Portland Summer ID. Held at Milwaukie High School and featuring prospects in the 2025-2027 classes, players from Washington and Oregon participated in this pro-style workout which includes unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art technology partners and in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball staff.

Summer ID events serve as an important tool for both PBR scouts and college recruiters, who will subsequently create lists of prospects to follow as they plan their remaining summer coverage. We often tend to see prospects' best showings in summer ID events, as players are fresh off playing for their respective high schools and are in the routine that consistently playing in-game offers. Standout performers can land invites to some of the summer's top events, including the PBR Pacific Northwest State Games.

Today, we will be looking at the Quick Hits from the workout with both Washington and Oregon prospects.

'26 SS Bradley Elkins (Oregon City, OR)
Smooth fielding SS who made gains across the board with all of his metrics from our previous look last summer. Easy mover with an athletic frame. He checks the boxes on defense & has the chance to develop as a left-handed bat as he continues to get stronger

'27 SS Grae Wilson (Ida B Wells, OR)
Tall, lanky build with an athletic frame to grow into. Wilson possesses quality movements on the diamond and seems as if he's not even close to his full potential. Will be a highly intriguing follow in the next few years as the frame adds more strength and allows his tools to take a step forward.

'25 RHP Cooper Yudhishthu (Grant, OR)
6'1, 170 lbs with a durable build and present strength. Showcased a live, aggressive arm action with FB up to 86.2, never dipped below 84.5, while flashing arm-side run down in the zone. Shapes 2 above average breaking balls with a 2700+ rpm CB with hard, downer action and a 2500+ rpm SL with tight shape. Highly intriguing, low mileage arm with upside to have electrice swing & miss stuff.

'26 OF Cameron Hyder (McMinnville, OR)
Toolsy OF prospect with present power and easy actions in all facets. Smooth runner with 6.90 speed. Covers ground quickly in the OF with accurate arm strength. Offensively impacts the ball easily with late loft and an uphill path in the swing.

'25 C Carson Miller (Sherwood, OR)
Quality receiver behind the dish with a quick exchange and accurate throws out of the crouch. Arm talent made a nice jump as he clocked 1.95 on his best pop time. Offensively he had a narrow gap between his peak EV and avg EV, showing a consistent swing, repeatable timing and barrel accuracy with some added lift to the pull-side. 

A couple young rising freshman to keep an eye on, 2027 prospects OF/LHP Chase Kelly (Jesuit) and INF Cole Weber (Wilsonville). Kelly has an extra lean, wiry frame with a high waist. Carries quality pound for pound strength and hyper mobile actions. Really competes on the mound with a 3 pitch mix while flashing a middle of the field, line drive approach with his left-handed swing. Weber is a phyiscal prospect in the class with emerging power and chance to develop into an imposing bat. Runs well for his size, especially underway and has the arm talent to stick on the left-side. The bat has intriguing raw output right now and it has the potential to improve quickly. 

'25 INF Will Feltus (Tenino, WA)
One of the fastest prospects we've seen at any ID event. Feltus ran a blazing 6.64 in the 60, showing tremendous burst out of the gate with ability to hold his top end speed late. Flies around the INF on defense and plays low easily. Offensively shows a quick, direct swing with a handsy, contact approach.

'25 LHP Harrison Hoffarth (Columbia River, WA)
Hoffarth dialed up the hardest FB at the event after he topped 88.5 mph from the left-side. With an extra strong, durable build at 6'3, 225. He has a starter profile if the secondaries come around and he should be capable of holding more velocity down the road. The FB itself, coming from a lower slot and unique look has the potential to be a tough offering on opposing hitters

'25 RHP Jack Burkhardt (Tenino, WA)
6'6, 210 lb athlete with long levers and a proportional frame between his upper & lower half. Smooth, steady pace throughout with a gradual arm swing. Stays behind the ball and works downhill easily with sustainable effort. Considerable ceiling left to tap into as he gains strength and starts to get more reps down the slope.
