2024 Prep Baseball Alabama Player of the Year: Braden Booth

After a strong 2024 high school baseball season, Prep Baseball has announced its Player of the Year in the state of Alabama. Last year, Hartselle's Coleman Mizell took home the honors of Prep Baseball Alabama Player of the Year. This year, the honor goes to 3B/RHP Braden Booth, a Mississippi State signee and one of the top-ranked prospects in the 2024 class in Alabama.

2024 PREP BASEBALL ALABAMA PLAYER OF THE YEAR

After an incredible senior season that was just capped off with a Class 7A State Championship and being award the Most Valuable Player of the series, 3B/RHP Braden Booth (Bob Jones, 2024) has been named the 2024 Prep Baseball Alabama Player of the Year. A dynamic two-way talent, the Mississippi State led the way in nearly every category for the Patriots en route to a 44-9 record and hoisting the Blue Map in Class 7A. At the plate, the right-hander posted a .429 batting average, 17 doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 49 RBIs, 57 runs scored, 36 walks, and 14 stolen bases. On the mound, he was equally as impressive, recording a near-flawless 13-1 record with 83.1 innings pitched while striking out 127 hitters and compiling a 1.51 ERA. Booth has done it year-after-year for Bob Jones, but he really took his game to the next level this spring and especially in the Class 7A State Championship Series, where he went 7-for-10 with three home runs, four RBIs, seven runs scored, two walks, and a stolen base, while also delivering a complete-game gem in Game 1 of the series going 7 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, & 7 K.
