All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '25 3B Michael Hogen from Hart High School. With an athletic frame at 6' 180 lbs. and interesting athleticism Hogen presents a fairly polished RH hitting offensive profile with hit tool, approach, and emerging pop while playing impact level 3B defense that flashes intriguing upside with the ability to potential handle a middle of the diamond spot at SS/2B. During mulitple in game looks this spring for Prep Baseball California Central Coast/VTA County scout Steven Hardesty, Hogen consistently found the barrel, worked quality at bats, flashed pull side impact and made multiple impressive plays to go with consistently steady defense at the hot corner. Hogen had an outstanding spring beyond just the looks from Hardesty with him earning 2nd team All-Foothill League honors and being a key piece of the offense/defense that helped Hart win the CIF-Southern Section D2 title. His fairly polished offensive ability that shows a top of the order potential with depth to back end of a lineup floor is even more intriguing when you consider the fact he has impact defensive potential on the infield dirt giving Hogen a high ceiling as a baseball player. Michael has been a 2 year varsity player at Hart High and helped the program in addition to its CIF-SS D2 title they also claimed the Foothill League title in 2024. Hogen is a name in the '25 class that is a must follow for college programs who has a chance to really raise his profile over the coming months headed into his SR. season after catching the eyes of Prep Baseball California staff.
