With a trio of Oaks Christian based Soph. in attendance that stood out during the workout portion of the day the least heralded of the group may have put on the best performance of the three. Henrich is a standout soccer player on top of his rising profile on the baseball diamond and his athleticism showed up during the defensive/athletic workout. KJ posted 6.86 60 yard sprint time (good for second best amongst the California players in attendance) with 1.66 10 yard and 3.85 30 yard splits to go with a 20.3 MPH max run speed. While his primary spot at present is catcher the athletic ability for Henrich would play well in any of the three OF spots. His defensive workout was intriguing showing off present arm strength with strong mechanics behind the dish including a pop time as low at 1.99 seconds and then an 81 MPH arm velocity from the OF. No matter where Henrich winds up defensively what he did during the batting practice portion of the day (which carried into gameplay) showed his bat is going to profile to the middle of an order with impact. Henrich posted the second highest max exit velocity at 100.6 MPH while averaging 92.4 MPH throughout his round with an intriguing 72% hard hit rate from a swing with an uphill path geared for line to line hard contact in the air.

Positional Profile: C/OF Strong line-drive contact hitter with solid defensive actions at multiple postions.
Body: 6-0, 178-pounds. Athletic with present strength. Proportionate.
Hit: RHH. Open stance with leg lift shifting back and then forward. Bat waggle. Vertical load with the hands. Possesses some whip with the barrel. Consistent line drives.
Power: 98 max exit velocity, averaged 85.9 mph. 354' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-75 mph. OF-62 mph. OF: Short arm action, over the top. Accurate throws. C: Quick release, hand behind ear.
Defense: 2.14-2.28 pop times. OF: Athletic movements, under control when shuffling into throw. C: Right knee down setup, mobile.
ATH: 7.17 runner in the 60. 1.85 and 4.08 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Another talented rising Fr. at the Oaks Christian program Henrich first caught my eye during the CIF-Fall Baseball period when I saw Oaks Christian play Simi Valley. Getting the intriguing RH hitting C/OF out to the Central California Preseason ID gave me a chance to see exactly how well developed those tools are at the present, plus the upside for his future. Standing 6' 174.2 lbs. Henrich is athletically built and looks sound behind the plate in his foundation (handled mid to upper 80's velocity with comfort) although there is some polish needed he popped a low 2.08 with 71 MPH C arm velocity, but was consistently accurate to the bag. As well, he showed sound arm strength during the OF workout getting up to 80 MPH with carry on his throws. But, where Henrich really made a statement was in the batters box during BP which confirmed my already visual appreciation of his offensive ability (his swing caught my eye during the fall live look for the path, explosiveness and barrel feel). While being one of the youngest players in attendance Henrich peaked at 99.3 MPH on his max EV (which was an event best) plus a 55% sweet spot rate from a swing that has 76.1 MPH of bat speed. There was some inconsistency at times with his timing/approach, but with continued development time the natural ability in Henrich's bat presents an intriguing upside for him as he moves forward.

Body: 6-0, 174-pounds. Possesses strength, strong hands, athletic, proportionate.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, heavy hand load during leg lift, quick hips, strides in-line. Longer path, stays level, long extension, sprays the field. 67.5 mph bat speed with 8 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 78.5 mph. 311' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-71 mph. OF-80 mph. OF: Compact and quick, 3/4 slot, accurate. C: Short path, hand to ear, keeps hand close to glove during gather, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: 2.08-2.20 pop times. OF: Stays low on toes, two-hand gather. C: Stays low and athletic, quick into throwing position, throws in-line.
ATH: 7.76 runner in the 60.
