This Wednesday, June 4th, the Prep Baseball California team is hosting the Orange County Summer ID at Hart Park in Orange, Cal. This is an open event for high school classes (2026-29), and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top prospects.

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

Oliver Dauskurdas 1B / RHP / Oaks Christian, CA / 2028
From 1/28/25:
Positional Profile: CIF - Advanced toolset for Fr. who shows impact at the plate from RH side with athletic operation. Corner INF/OF defensive profile with CF potential and high quality 2-way potential as RHP with control of strike zone and solid 3 pitch mix. Body: 6-3, 185 pounds. Strong present frame with athletic build and room to continue adding with maturity. Hit: RHH. Taller posture with slight knee bend from an open stance with width to his base. Hands are set at shoulder height off rear shoulder with vertical bat angle and low back elbow. Small leg kick with sit into rear hip to start load while tipping his barrel to load hands. Lands balanced at launch with aggressive hip turn. Uphill barrel path with present bat speed and hands that work to deliver the barrel on time. Stays behind the ball with his body. Hit with power profile. mph bat speed with g of rotational acceleration. Power: 96 mph max exit velocity (91.4 avg.); 371-foot max batted distance. Lives more in the air with his contact while consistently barreling the ball with authority. Impact has carry from CF to LF foul line with HR power and will grow into opposite field HR power. Arm: RH. INF - 80.00 mph.pull-side Present arm speed with easy operation that shows online carry and accuracy. Arm profiles to corners on INF/OF. Defense: Paraclete Good body control with solid footwork and soft glove work. Can play laterally with ability to show range. Comes downhill well. Fits in all corner defense spots potentially. Athletic Testing: 7.06 runner in the 60-yard dash. Athletic mover with ability to maintain stride length/speed and body control.

Longer arm path out of the glove that works back with depth behind the body. Shows present arm speed and looseness to get to release on time. High 3/4 slot with minimal recoil after release. FB: T82, 79-81 mph. Solid present pitch which gets swings/soft contact and plays well down in the zone T1815, 1615 average rpm. CB: 66-68 mph. Sweepier like CB that plays more like a SLV and gets soft contact T1975, 1819 average rpm.

Positional Profile: C/OF Body: 6-0, 170 pounds. Possesses strength, strong hands, athletic, proportionate. Hit: RHH. Balanced, heavy hand load during leg lift, quick hips, strides in-line. Longer path, stays level, long extension, sprays the field. 67.5 mph bat speed with 8g of rotational acceleration. Power: 99 mph max exit velocity (78.5 avg.); 311-foot max batted distance. Arm: RH. C - 71.00 mph. OF - 80.00 mph. OF: Compact and quick, 3/4 slot, accurate. C: Short path, hand to ear, keeps hand close to glove during gather, high 3/4 slot. Defense: 2.08-2.20 pop time range; OF: Stays low on toes, two-hand gather. C: Stays low and athletic, quick into throwing position, throws in-line. Athletic Testing: 7.76 runner in the 60-yard dash. Positional Profile: 3B/RHP Body: 6-1, 175-pounds. Athletic frame with some present strength. Delivery: Stands tall and gets downhill fast. Short leg lift and stride. Arm Action: RH. Over the top release. Short arm path. FB: T71, 70-71 mph. Glove side cut that plays towards outer half. T1740, 1714 average rpm. SL: 59-60 mph. Horizontal and veritcal break. Ball flight similar to a slurve. T1677, 1605 average rpm. CH: 67-68 mph. Veritcal break with no horizontal movement. Issues missing up in the zone. T1362, 1271 average rpm. ATH: 7.71 runner in the 60. 1.88 and 4.26 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Stands upwards early, runs tall. 24.50 max vertical.

Short level swing that shoots line drives. 62.7 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 80.6 mph. 335' max distance. Line drive hitter who can hit the ball from line to line. Arm: RH. INF-72 mph. High three quarters release across the infield. Defense: Calm footwork through the play. ATH: 7.71 runner in the 60. 1.88 and 4.26 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Stands upwards early, runs tall. 24.50 max vertical.

Because of the high number of prospects set to attend Wednesday’s event, it is imperative that you read our adjusted showcase itinerary below, which will allow our staff to swiftly and efficiently educate and evaluate the players set to attend.
