Positional Profile: C Sound defensive backstop with intriguing hit tool that showcases power potential.
Body: 5-6, 159-pounds. Compact, well-proportioned build with room for further physical development.
Hit: RHH. Tall, slightly open stance with hands back at ear level, barrel resting over the shoulder, and a distinct bat waggle. The starting backstop tasked with catching the array of high-quality arms at Royal is the compact, athletically built Visage. This was my first time diving deeper on his profile and came away interested in his potential. The skill set behind the plate is sound good actions in his receiving and demonstrated the ability to block well on spin. His arm is quick with a clean, consistent transfer and accuracy to the base posting 2.0–2.05 pop times. Took strong at bats all game long picking up a vital bases clearing double on a line drive to LCF. The bat speed showed well and there was leverage in the path to work through the bottom half of the baseball and leverage it with carry to the middle/pullside of the field. Will definitely be a follow at future Royal games and a good name to know in the 2026 class.
