Sneaky Salisbury had a great game in relief and at the plate for the McClatchy Lions, the ‘27 two way held it down out of the bullpen after Silva was done in the third. Salisbury pitches with a lot of attitude, he works quick mixing in slide steps, and then he will do some leg holds/pauses that will really mess up a hitter's timing. His demeanor on the mound was pretty fun to watch, aside from the fact that he had seven walks, Salisbury still found a way to be as efficient as possible. When the fastball command wasn’t working, Salisbury was throwing a slider that the West Park hitters couldn’t seem to figure out a way to hit. Both of his secondaries showed a lot of potential, but it was the SL that was showing off, especially how much break it had across the plate. Salisbury was sitting between 80-82 MPH T83, the SL was 70-72 with sharp/late break, and his CB was 64-65 MPH. Salisbury would come up later in the game and get a base hit to left field, snagging an RBI on the day. The biggest concern right now for Salisbury is the control at times, seems to lose it and then gets a hold of it the following inning. Once the consistency settles, him and Silva will be able to split different games instead of throwing the same one. Great comeback win for the Lions.
