On Sunday, January 26th, the PB California staff traveled to Ohlone JC in Freemont, CA, to host the Northern California Preseason All-State, an invite-only event for the class of 2025-2028.

Over 80 players made their way to Freemont and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

TOP-5 PITCHERS

1. Mariano Gonzalez LHP / OF / Vanden , CA / 2027

Positional Profile: LHP
Body: 6-0, 185-pounds. Strength throughout, long levers.
Delivery: Aggressive windup, keeps weight on back leg while riding down the mound, high leg lift.
Arm Action: LH. Full circle, quick arm, low 3/4 slot.
FB: T90, 87-90 mph. Firm with heavy spin, thrown on both sides of the zone. T2444, 2368 average rpm.
CB: 72-75 mph. Heavy spin, power curve, 11/5 break. T2832, 2750 average rpm.
CH: 72-75 mph. Deceptive, ball dies as it reaches the plate. T1738, 1657 average rpm.
